  1. Lumbertons 8th grade group didnt lose any lineman that is the fresh group. The group of 8th graders only lost one game in the STJFL and that was too WOS in the super bowl. They had beatin that team earlier in the year. Look for Lumbertons 7th grad group to be very strong also.
  2. well that was a scrimmage if i remeber correctly and after the scrimmages Lumberton went 11-2 and beat teams like Dayton, Nederland, Central, Ozen, LaMarqe and Smiley. So I'm glad u enjoyed the scrimmage last year but thats all it was. Yall didnt even make the playoffs.
  3. Sorry I'm not a Nederland fan but when you return the bulk of an offense that was one of the better ones in the district, then you should be one of the better teams. They have Bellows QB, Cardansas, Brady and Selenga a WR their OL wasnt very good last year but they will be better. I still dont think they will run the ball all that well but I think they will throw like a champ. Look at them like you look at Lumberton last year. Lumberton returned the bulk of their OL, their QB and 3 RBs that were very good. the key for Lumberton was the vastly improved Defense and thats gonna be the deference for Nederland this year. They have to find a way to slow down the opposing team but on offense they should be very potent.
  4. I wanna say the Daigle kid from last year? might have got the name wrong but I believe hes coming back.
  5. what position did Garza coach last year? I thought he did LBs
  6. those West Brook teams were not very good and you were in a district with Silsbee, Jasper, Vidor, Lumberton, Livingston
  7. Ozen lost its DC to converse judson. their LB coach isnt there anymore and the OL coach is now the DC and they lost the HUGE DT who gave everybody so many problems and kept the OL off the LBs and Ozens underlevels were very bad so I just dont see them being very good. also on another note why would you dog teams that were alot better than you last year ozensfinist? you talk like a 12 year old
  8. Hanna will be the starting RB probably getting around 20 to 25 touches a game. Beard will get some spot duty and get around 10-15 touches and sophmore Ryan Asher will get around 5 toughs a game in spot duty to give the others a break. This is what will probably happen
  9. last year at a lumberton game the ref ran into a camera man and lumberton got a 15 yard penalty. we had it on tape it was pretty funny
  10. There is not one school that uses "chop blocking" as part of their scheme. Thats like saying the head coach of the program is trying to hurt the other team.
  11. who is Londan Durham playing for?
  12. shorttexas thats an awesome excuse right there buddy. Your saying that central took a team that was 5-0 whos first 5 games went 41-7, 48-7, 48-0, 8-7 (over Dayton) and 35-14. 4 out of those 5 games the starters didnt play the second half. Plus Lumberton played Central close the year before 22-13 and Lumberton returned most of there team. I dont think you know what your talking about. Give the coaches from your school and every other school some credit and realize that they probably did take Lumberton seriously because they had a really good team. But hey dont take them serious because I'm sure that was all a big fluke last year and they really sucked and got lucky going 11-2. I dont even see them making it in the top 8 much less the top 4
  13. maybe but i saw them play 3 times last year and wasn't all that high on them. They went 3 deep in the playoffs because they ran into inner city houston schools and thats not saying much. Those schools would have finished in the bottom half of our district. Also Livingston was very unorganized on Offense and Defense and really just hoped their athletes made plays. If you think someone is gonna be good give reasons just dont say they are gonna be good. They are not Dayton by any means. Dayton has athletes and they are extremely well coached and their kids make plays. Plus Daytons scheme on Defense fits so well with the kinda kids they have and its unqiue and easy for their kids.
  14. no i did some research on Livingston and they have about 5 returning Starters maybe bc all there guys are going both ways. On Offense they have 3 and who go both ways and they lost one of the Their young DBs to Hardin. They have about the same amount of starters as Lumberton.
  15. hook me up with a score after the game.
  16. Did Lumberton win last night or will they be playing the final game in Tyler County???
  17. I agree with Ned Bulldog. its gonna be a hard fought battle for the top spot and I would say Nederland has a slight edge at the moment but they still have to prove they are gonna play defense. Central has all the athletes to make a run but They did last year also and really dissappointed. so we'll see how they do. PN-G and Lumberton are in very simalar situations with both coming off of very good seasons but losing some key pieces but still having some good ones in place. It all depends on how they replace what they lost. Livingston has some talent but their playoff run was tainted by playing schools in inner city Houston. Besides that I just dont see anyone else really challanging because Ozens underlevels were real bad last year and Ozen was not a very good team to begin with and they are losing kids to Kelly. Vidor has been scrappy and even with the 2 new coaches I dont see them winning. LCM has lost way to much off a team that wasnt very good.
  18. 3 from the OL including their best 2 from Lasy year Kyle Gilliam and Hunter Howden and 3 from their DL DE Kendall Duvall, DE Jacob Hanna and DL Mark Murrill
  19. SMU has also offered and Arizona has recently came into the picture and Arkansas wants him to go up to their camp.
