Coach Gaus is resigning at East Chambers to take a position at Houston Baptist University. It will be a strictly teaching position. Coach Gaus won the Coach of the Year Award in 2013 after winning the district in a stunning extra inning victory against Deweyville. He will be sorely missed at East Chambers and in the coaching commnity.

No I do. Just saying Lumberton was supporting him before the season started, he is just getting MORE support the way he has these kids playing football now

Trust me everyone in the community is supporting Babin. I don't know if Ozen saw the signs down 69 and into the high school that said "Coach Knows" but the parents did that without Babin knowing. We all love him
It is easy to support someone when they are 4-0. Im talking about when they lose games or when they are not as talented(its not like they are filling up D1 rosters now). Also when he needs things to improve the program will he get them? There is alot more to supporting a coach than cheering for a victory and putting up a sign.

What seems to be getting lost in all the fighting is how much Lumberton has improved from the 1st scrimmage to now. Coach Babin and his staff seem to be doing a great job of developing the players they have to work with and putting together a game plan for their opponent. Right now it looks like Lumberton made a great hire. Now time to really support their new young AD and make sure he sticks around.

That should be an interesting district next season. Gotta go watch EC vs Ktz. Buna is gonna be down and thats a shame bc the Kville Buna game last season was so much fun.

Swoosh, it has become pretty obvious to me that "its in the Bone" is one of our female posters and is dating this Collins kid. Cut her alittle slack please. Eagles, you need to turn your angry button off. its quite annoying and silly.

Bone- its no not know and I dont think a backup running back can qualify as most underrated. I like the FB from Warren alot but dont know his name. Really came on at the end of the season

I came and posted his stats bc yall 2 numbskulls we're questioning why he didnt start.The stats are correct as a matter of fact but im not surprised you are gonna get all emotional over the fact that you're wrong. Swoosh these 2 are not completing any college courses anytime soon.

No one is here to dog the kid. You and Wackpack were the sharks trying to go after EC's Coach. I came in with some facts as to why he didnt start. Hopefully I helped you and wack understand the game alittle better. Maybe yall will think before you and wack make a post at the expense of someone else.

Sure I do wackpack. Those are his stats. probably not the best guy to start. Congrats on the win though Ktz and good luck in the playoffs

How do you figure that teams in this area have a different mindset when it comes to winning, success, and expectations?
How do you expect this mindset to be "brought to this area"?
What do you think?... That the local coaches get together and all plan to never make it past the third round? And from this meeting, they tell their players to have low expectations?
The coaches in this area want to win a state title just like all coaches do and they train their players to match this mentality. Also, there are assistant and head coaches in this area from all over Texas. Many of these coaches are from successful programs. Do you think they left these programs, came to setx, and lowered their expectation of success?
There are legitimate reasons that setx does not have as much success as other areas do on a yearly basis. But, your assumption for the lack of success is not one of them.
