Seriously my best guess...errors? Now in sure he has had hits and runs given up but I think errors have played a big role in things as a whole.
I know you know your baseball and all but errors do not count against ERA
-
If Slade Collins give EC the best chance to win then why does he have ZERO wins this year and a ERA over 7? Just curious?
-
Nelson and Porter are easily the best Coaching staff in Setx. They just lost a really good group and their #1 and #2 pitchers are sophomores.
-
Must have not put his 0-10 record at Scarborough on his resume.
incorrect as always he was 2-8 the last coach to win a game there. That was also after a winless season. Curly with an ax to grind as always. Babin's short self must have gave you a wedgie once bc you throw nothing but shade his way.
-
I said this before but I guess I will say it again. Babin will not run the Slot T at Lumberton. He has only ran the Slot T 2 seasons in his career and the reason he went to it at Warren last year is because it is what suited the kids. At Deweyville he was Offset I with alot of unbalance. Power, Toss, Load Option, Midline. Dupey was the QB and was all of 5'6" 160 but could go. From what I understand if he were to get a large school job he would be much more progressive. He played in the spread in College and I know he is a big fan. But why do I even post stuff? Y'all will just make things up and call them facts.

My apologies One4All, I meant: "you pay taxes in a town, and in that town a school district employs school officials...". Blah Blah Blah... Let the school officials do their job.
-
I know Babin. I worked with Babin. He adapts his offensive system to the kids he has.
Scarbrough - Pro Style
Deweyville - Unbalanced I
Warren - Slot-t
He has taken over three underachieving programs and adapted to the kids he had. Let's not forget that the last game Scarborugh won was with him (2009). Let's not forget that he brought Deweyville to the playoffs twice. He knew he faced challenges at Warren and took his lumps his first year. From what I understand, offseason in Warren is extremely tough and intense. I would expect Warren to be much improved next year. I KNOW that he would run a more modern, diversified offense in Lumberton or at any other 5A-6A school. How do I KNOW this?... because he told me. What I DO NOT know is if he is even interested in Lumberton.
You people kill me. You state rumors and assumptions as fact on this message board. How about this crazy notion: Let the district administrators decide who is best for the job. The fact that the kids like a coach should carry no weight in the hiring decision. You pay taxes to employ school officials that make decisions that are best for the district. In this case, the decision is regarding an administrator that is going to lead kids in an ethical and inspired fashion. For once, leave the politics and rumors aside and let the district do its job!

Mistake if that is the case. Just my opinion.
who do you think they should hire?

Emotional let down for Buna. Kirbyville game was such an up and down game and thats not taking account for it being a rivalry.

Warren JV 56
Hardin JV 0

Buna is gonna be 1 or 2 in the district

I call bs on that. I have noticed a theme in your post. It smells personal but feel free to come in and discuss schemes and talent evaluation. Dont let me stop you. You obviously must be very knowledgable.
-
Curly do you not like Babin? Buna beat OF who beat Newton tonight. Buna beat Center who Beat Jasper. Buna beat HF who beat 5A Lumberton and played well against OF. What I saw during the game is that Warren played tougher tonight considering where they came from. This was a team that won 3 games last year and lost the majority of their team. Rome wasnt built in a day but haters gonna hate I guess.

we need where they at on the field and down and distance

who has the ball?

He said Wed practice was the best one they have had this season. Maybe they are turning a corner

Keegan Mitchell is a stud. Crazy thing is they were better last year when they had 2 stud FBs to go with him.
-
Fun fact: the last time Houston Scarborough won a game was 2009 under 27yo Chris Babin.

Wrong. Babin knew exactly when to leave. More times than not, what makes a good football coach is knowing what job to take...and then knowing when to take a different one.
No im pretty sure I am right on everything I said. You are right that it was probably the right time to go but they returned 6 starters on D and 5 on offense and the Waldrup kid is healthy this year and that kid is a difference maker.
