Yup....well said.  A young man thought he could help and certainly has.  Regardless of any extra points, like Griff said, he has been instrumental in this teams success.  WOS doesn't have to do "mortar kicks" and have the opposing team start at the 40.  From the 40, a team only needs a couple first downs and they are in 4 down territory.  Someone pointed out that the average starting field position is the 27...huge difference.  It is basically making a team march the length of the field against a great defense.
With that being said, I have more confidence in our XPs than I have in a long time.  Along with the ability to nail a field goal if need be.  Many of us are aware of the challenges that this position faces with our team.  I applaud both young men for stepping up.
So unmmmmm TD....do you have anymore Dallas boys coming up through the ranks?!

Losteraussie I truly understand why u say that. After watching numerous film on the both of them. Keys for Jasper : It's an absolute must that they put pressure on A.brown if not cud b a long nite. Bc #13 Morton will b a matchup problem for them. I think they matchup fairly well with the rest of the wrs. And try to keep #25 at bay. This year gilmer defensive wise isn't as strong as years past. So if Jasper has any shot on offense that running back will have to have a huge nite. And Jasper can't afford the turnovers. A.brown is just a JR. With over 4000yds passing.likes to get the ball out quick. He's not that tall. Maybe 5'8 or5'9. So if  d-line can't get to him. They need to raise there hands up to make him throw over them. This for sure will b a great game !

Let it also be said that #49's kickoffs have been inside the 10 yard line almost every time, and more than a few times at the goal line. That IS a big improvement and makes it even tougher on the receiving team because our guys are fast downfield to make that big hit and tackle. Kickoff coverage and forcing not-so-good field position has been a success on this year's team and that all begins with good kickoffs. Nice work, Chad Dallas.

Man I'm tired of you posting the same crap. I think it's obvious that the xtra point kicking game isn't where we want it. However, we have two boys that are working every single day to do the best they can. We don't have a kicking coach that works with them on a regular basis. They basically try to figure it on their own. So if they develop bad habits then unfortunately that's what they practice. Trust me, they know about their short comings. If it makes you feel better about yourself to point out the obvious all the time, then please continue. I know how much work and extra practice goes into trying to get better but I'm not a kicking coach so I'm not much help. If you are please let me know. We would welcome your expertise.

In all of the forums regarding WOS, with all of the concerned doubters, for all of those comparing the present with the past, with those troubled by the "potent" offense of Robinson, with those trolling everyone's grammar and questioning the grammatical education of others....are there any doubters now? The biggest challenge throughout this season and the playoffs has come and will come from Coach T and his staff in practice. He will not allow his players to think they are great. He will only allow them to seek perfection so they can fail to achieve perfection and settle with being great. Their perfect season will culminate with their greatness when they hoist the UIL trophy and the gold is hung around their necks. Then we will reload. See you all in Arlington.

I listened (endured) this whole game on my way home.  First of all, I know it is said often, but hearing some other broadcasts makes you appreciate Gary Stelly even more.
Neither team played much defense (obviously).  I really don't recall Robinson having but a couple sustained drives.  Most were very quick scores including their first of the game for 99 yards.  It sounded like a broken record "Allison with all kinds of time to throw....finds a wide open receiver".  Caldwell did grab a lead in the third quarter on a pick 6.  Caldwell came into the game averaging 25 points per game on offense and managed to more than double their usual output.
I did hear them say that the center was a freshman.  I don't know if he has been playing all year or was filling in.  I am sure he will get to know Mr. Turner-King in short order.
It will be nice facing a passing team.  As far as Robinson having film to study....there isn't much out there this year of WOS defending the pass.

This isn't your first post to correct "grammar".  I'm glad you feel it your duty to inform folks.....on a football forum.  I would bet that there are many that could "out grammar you".....you have been schooled before.
I guess we should all spell check and grammar check before mentioning football for fear that Uncle Pig will Check You!!

Yes. Along with the trenches.  Give Jack time to make his decisions and get in the Robinson backfield enough to make Allison uncomfortable.

We have scored 18 more points than Robinson, but they have allowed 412 more than we have. They lost to Lorena and a Gatesville team who lost to everyone. They might make a game of it early and score a few times, but they won't be able to keep up. We don't need a shutout. They appear to have a great offense but no defense. Our offense is at least on par with theirs, and our defense is the best in the state.
They are a good team with a great QB/WR hookup. They have not been hit like they are about to get hit.

    America is not great again.
Hopefully this will help it head that way or at least stop some of the bleeding.
In a little over a couple of months the divider in chief will be out of office. I am not sure if Trump will bring anyone together but if he simply sticks with national issues and stays out of local incidents might help.

If you truly were not there.....I get it.  But this game was a snoozer...no one was worried.  I was sending pictures to friends asking if they had seen a more elementary offense.  And yes...no matter how many coaches you know or that your cousins are facebook friends with....Liberty showed up to keep the game close.  Why?  Coach speech "we held the #1team in the state to the fewest points etc blah blah blah"
And there have been many teams that have shown up to "make a showing".

Oldschool2 I have read this entire thread and it did provide for some entertainment. Whatever your intent was on this thread, you certainly got it going. I hate that you're feeling picked on and that has a lot to do with the fact that WOS faithful are commenting back to just...well...you. What I can say is that some of these comments towards you are meant in a lighthearted manner. Chin up buttercup and keep on keeping on!
