  1. As long as this regime remains, WOS will be those teams that were discussed as talented but had no coaching. The old school Lincoln, TJ and LCM (before the current coach) to name a few locally.
  2. Just making sure....does this go in our “good quality loss” column??? Or just a loss? Hard to keep track these days.
  3. I do miss the days of planning trips, events etc around WOS playoff runs.
  4. There haven’t been too many games that are easy to watch.
  5. We have seen numerous teams locally that are loaded that fall short. To me Lincoln and schools like that “back in the day” were always scary on any Friday but didn’t hold our long term.
  6. There are some folks saying that WOS will be the most talented #4 seed in the playoffs. I do understand the opponent, locals, fans are trying to be gracious but I WOULD HOPE THAT THEY ARE THE MOST TALENTED #4 team!!!! Returning 8 players on each side of the ball that lost in a good contest to the champ....that spells talent. Someone posted a quote from the coach. Something to the effect “I think the players will be ready”. What about the coaches???? Are they ready? They haven’t been. They are responsible for getting the players ready. Hasn’t happened thus far.
  7. But they still didn’t have years like this if they are indeed down. However, they returned quite a few starters from a pretty solid team
  8. Has he started another petition? He could probably keep the same title.
  9. Might as well say “give em time” because I’m sure he get plenty of it. Don’t forget there were those that said the program would keep rolling because of the talent.
  10. Her voice shouldn’t need much warming up. She has recorded a whole WOS album this season.
  11. With any regime change, especially one where the coach had been so successful, you would anticipate there could be a step back. Needless to say, but this by far exceeds expectations.
  12. But it keeps happening with WOS this year. That’s a little different. And previously it hasn’t happened often
  13. Never. But these losses are some good ones...can’t take that away from them. Some of many that WOS can build upon and there will be many more.
  14. Yes, give credit to the opponent. But how much “credit” is there to give before you max it out??? WOS is a shell of itself and these opponents are taking advantage of it and enjoying it. And rightfully so. That is all of the “credit” I can give.
  15. Oh for sure. Right now the focus is learning to lose. It is a crash course but being taught very well.
  16. This has potential to be another “good quality loss” for WOS. They just piling them up.
  17. You are missing the big picture!! Many more shall be smashed. Next up...consecutive losing seasons.
  18. We all knew the new WOS coach is a defensive juggernaut. This only proves it
  19. Yup....the new norm. “Losses aren’t bad...these teams are so good”. Ok It looks like they will be one of those teams labeled as “tons of talent” but can’t get it done. We have/had several of those locally. Folks can say “give the guy a chance” but when you change the defensive scheme with a program that has hung its hat on defense.....doesn’t make sense. It’s not like he was a defensive mastermind
  20. All is well in “Mustang Land”. Only 24 points given up before halftime.
