The QB play and player more specifically are being singled out. Last year the passing game wasn’t elite but WOS made it to the title game. The coaches do a fantastic job of putting the KIDS in what they feel is the best position to win. Their will to win is evident by the WOS alltime record.....and the record speaks for itself. This is a small school....there isn’t always a Kyler Murray or in our case a Jack Dallas, Sterling Cole waiting in the wings. We all have ideas about who could play better at each position but that is all they are....ideas. WOS has a great head coach and staff. I’m sure many of the kids aren’t in the position they thought they would be in but are doing the best and trying to do what is asked of them. Every player is where the coaches put them and their ability or lack thereof to perform in that position is not their fault. They are trying to do the best with their given assignment. In short, what I am trying to say is that these are young men (kids)....let’s just keep that in mind.

Hypolite (spelling?) was the QB at that time I believe.

Griff, it depends on which team is having the better season. Get it right!

WOS has some talent returning and a lot of kids got some game experience. That will help a lot because Coach Thompson won’t have to do so much mix and match early in the season. With that being said no matter what is returning I can’t doubt Coach T. There have been times where the kids overachieved and he seems to give them every chance to do so.

Yeah and 20 other times (didn’t research the number) the opposite happened. The last one not being by one point but three.

This story is being told about as much as the Christmas Miracle. About as many versions as well.

Well, this go around WOS isn’t ranked #2, not undefeated, it isn’t the first round of the playoffs and Silsbee wasn’t held to -17 yards in the first matchup. Looking forward to a good game!

The game aside...my hope is that everyone makes the journey there and back safely.

Texas City and La Marque in 1997. I believe Texas City was the district champ and La Marque slipped into the playoffs as the third place team.

To be that absolute is nuts. Depends on when they played during the season and the teams overall health. Jasper was a dang good team with and without Hunt and Co. I wouldn’t discredit their chances against Nederland or PNG.

I think saying DT carried the team is a bit of a knock on many players that put in a lot of work. Yes, he was the D1 stud but that team had players with talent and grit.

Blue and Silver team played some serious defense. Hmmmmmm....where have I heard that before??

It’s a bold way to go about a beat down. Let’s see how it plays out.

Great post. Wilson had made a great contribution on D!! If he is out, he will be missed in that regard as well.

Yes Griff....it isn’t really referred to as graduation. But she and the school came to an agreement to unconditionally part ways.

If it happens, it is the high school football gods smiling upon him! He can make good on his word to watch Katy/NS and now attend this one. Well played sir

“A one team guy” that won’t be watching his team this weekend. Instead, will be watching another team. Quite the conundrum.

I wouldn’t expect you to let off the gas in the 4th quarter....that’s not a very good strategy for playing catch up.

Disappointed because we will only have 3 games left this season....it goes by so quickly! I’m joking....I think either team can win it and am looking forward to a classic matchup. I just hope too many of our fans didn’t jump off of a cliff when they didn’t know the location of the game by Saturday night.
