no competitive disadvantage could be proven through a preponderance of evidence. Big difference that you guys need to learn.
-
I’ve kept quiet about this, but I talked to a BC defensive starter after the game. When asked what happened in the first half, he nailed it. “They got one of our bands and knew our plays before the snap. We went back to signaling plays in from the sideline and they couldn’t stop us.” That’s the whole “adjustment” that BC coaches made… they stopped giving the plays to LCM. Like I said… they had to cheat to beat a 4A D2 school. Did Peevey forget how to coach or do they just suck up there? You be the judge.

I personally believe there was a competitive advantage in this situation. But like the DEC and SEC ruled, there was no preponderance of evidence to prove it so therefore a forfeit wasn't warranted. I stated from the get go that I didn't think a forfeit would be warranted in this situation. Public reprimands, probation and coach suspensions? Yes. But no forfeit. Glad this is over. Now my phone can stop blowing up.

I don’t make the schedule, nor have I made any comments about one team being better than the other. The situation at hand is concerning, and we’ll never truly know who would’ve won without the watch. Your disdain for BC is honestly pretty comical. LCM isn’t exactly a powerhouse — they’ll probably be turning in equipment in a couple of weeks just like the rest of the district 😂 So the idea that one program is superior to the other is hilarious.

Some people will just always land "jelly side up"...until they dont!

Someone help me here. I watched the entire thing. NOT 1 single time did BC bring up just wanting their watch back and/or ethical decision making or lack there of, recouping funds. Why they needed the watch back.... BCs ONLY discussion and complaint and commments were on lcm competitive advantage. And bringing up stats and their loss since we're talking about tones. Bc only wanted lcm forfeiture here. They didn't expound on anything else complaint wise.
-
I understand why the committee didn't find enough concrete evidence to forfeit the game or suspend other coaches. that said, did anyone that's not from LCM watch the proceedings today and come away with an opinion of anything other than everyone pretty much knew what happened, but also didn't feel like they could prove it enough to allow for further action? This is a horrible look for LCM, and they look worse rather than better after this meeting, despite the victory a few of the more delusional folks are claiming.
-
That was when LCM self reported an issue and the coach was punished.

Only thing i found interesting was the difference in plays ran and yardage first half to second. Alarming numbers but, not enough proof! But “adjustments” were made lol
-
It seems to me like BC had a better second half signaling, maybe they should stick with that instead of the watches.

Bc sup tried to claim competitivie disadvantage because they had to turn the bands off. But also said their terminology of plays was very basic and simple. Huge disadvantage 🤣🤣🤣 for ehat were stated as "master planners" in coaches

Yeah I was hoping they went down that bumpy road. Care to expound on the combined record of your previous opponents before lcm? Since highlighted that was your only loss

I would have sided with LC-M that they just made a bad decision until i heard about the 9th grade student changing jerseys and playing in JV game on the same day...Past reputation will come back to haunt you again and again....now i know they do have the propensity to CHEAT....LC-M will be under the proverbial microscope for a long time to come...

The UIL board all said they can see and lean towards LCM having an advantage, but didn't have enough to "go down that bumpy road" But you heard what you want to hear I'm sure.

This is correct. Both district were just 5 team districts. Only played 4 district games. Had to play 6 non district games. Was a coaches nightmare filling non district schedule. 4 teams went to playoffs out 5 teams.
-
Thats not the tone I perceived or they would have made that action
-
Center would love that

Blatantly false information. But I guess that what these threads are for.

Buna is coming off It's worst two seasons in over 20 years. The 05-06 squad was winless. Since then Buna has always produced at least more than one win every season till now. They have went back to back seasons with zero district wins. Along with only one win each during the past two seasons. They have a great group of young kids right now! Gritty tough athletes that don't got one ounce of quit in them. They run every play to the best of their abilities every time. The slot T was brought in 2 years ago I just don't know if this is what Buna needs to run. They have a sophomore QB that can spin the rock. With some really athletic kids with speed. With this setup only throwing the ball 5-7 times a game. Just curious on how long till a team can run the slot T effectively? Or when its time to change it up and build around the strength of your players.

From the tone and wording of the meeting it seems LCM was very close to losing more than an assistant coach for the season..
-
No competitive disadvantage found. Straight from the UIL. so LCM wins because their better I hope after all evidence given and UIl decision that people respect the UIL
-
There is no asterisk. Evidence was throughly reviewed and beat to death.

OF JV - 34 Buna JV - 8 Bobcats finish 9-1 with their only loss (14-6) to 4A Div 1 Champs LCM

Anyone hear how Orangefield QB is doing? He took a nasty hit in the 1st qtr and don't know if he ever returned to the game. My poor Buna boys with another long season, not much progress .
