Promoting axe murder since 1979. What a strange place.

He is definitely a good one!!

Axe Em Jacks 🪓

I grew up in a football first household. Indians, Cowboys and Oilers.. In that order. My first year of School at Ridgewood was an election year. We had to choose what party we were. I chose Independent so I could wear a purple I on my shirt all day. Basically I thought it was Indian! I used to ride my bike to school, steal a random Port Arthur News off a driveway to go over district stats for the weeks game. The 8os were rough for PNG. We could only beat Nederland it seemed like! My freshman year at PNG I had English first period, first Friday of football I got sent to the office for reading the paper! I needed my stats and info, and I always made sure I had my “I beat Bob West” pics sent in on time. And yes I beat him several times and had proof! I have been lucky enough to see 3 PNG state championship games. As well as 3 quarterfinal games. Not bad for a school that uses home grown talent. Small towns and Friday night lights are always and will always be the best times of your life. Times have changed, I used to get on this site religiously, even won the pick ems one year. Was even a pollster. What I will say is this. Even with the times changing, SETX HS Football is the funnest and most die hard in the state of Texas. This board shows the enthusiasm and the desire from so many. It’s what’s makes SETX what it is. So congrats to all the playoff teams. Much luck in the playoffs. And to my Nederland fans, it’s been rough since Uncle Larry left, but I can’t say it upsets me…… Once little brother, always little brother. And to my Indians. Once again, we are district champs, and hopeful to make a playoff push! So this morning I decided I would dedicate a post to Bob West. He covered sports in the area better than anyone… Tom Halliburton as well. So with a no nonsense post, and I’m known for not being a rah rah… Times have changed, but one thing hasn’t. PNG is still on top of the mountain. Old school is for hardware, new school plays for participant ribbons….. Happy Saturday folks!! I’m still bleeding purple till my last breathe!! I won’t bore you will all of it.. 4 time state champs……. PNG….. Enough Said!!

Axe Em Jacks.......

I’d take ND and the points. I also feel an upset. You’re probably right about Mizzou.

Congratulations to him! 💪🏾

Nothing wrong with pointing out easily correctable things that could cost them against better teams. WOS is on a roll heading into the playoffs.

@AggiesAreWe I just saw that New Waverly was district champs of their district... How can that be and I just saw this on Facebook just now?

Congrats to Vidor and lcm on sharing the district championship. Good luck to all teams in the playoffs!

From Newton Facebook The Newton Eagles new career rushing record holder is KJ Porter. KJ broke the 45 year old record of 6598 yards by Anthony Byerly. We'll have KJ's total yards in the morning! A well deserved congratulations to KJ Porter, a true Newton Eagle legend! Purple Pride Never Dies!!

We can agree to disagree. 10 games Every game has examples. Eyes in backfield, safeties drifting to close to line of scrimmage or getting pulled into the Middle exposing the edges. Fullbacks/Tightends slipping thru the middle of the field uncovered. Not judging just pointing out the lack of discipline/experience. The other glaring issue is the focus from the players when approaching halftime with lead. Giving up TDs right before half and then on opening drives in 2nd half erasing big leads.

Final Silsbee 41 / Shepherd 32 Silsbee 325 Total YDs 22 Car 80 YDs 1 TD 16-26 245 YDs 5 TDs RJ Williams 8 Rec 105 YDs 2 TDs K. Robinson 9 Car 48 YDs / 2 Rec 56 YDs 1 TD Haegyn Morris 3 TDs Shepherd 387 Total YDs / 4 TDs / 4 Turnovers 36 Car 197 YDs 7-10 190 YDs B. White 5 Rec 94 YDs / 1 TD

I’m just saying the 15 yards penalties will get you beat against good teams in the playoffs.

I thought HJ were the Hawks. I heard Cherokee just as loud, maybe they're going to switch, congratulations Mustangs.

HJ #1 Warren would be all state if he played somewhere else. He did everything for the hawks last night. Runs. Passes. Recovered and advanced onside kick. Interception. Open field tackled KJ. Kid deserves some recognition. All around the single best player i saw in this district. Would get my vote for MVP

Hope all those parents that transferred their kids out of GCM to other schools for football reasons and ended up missing the playoffs have fun watching GCM win playoff games these next couple of years.

Apparently so if they scheduled to host @Matthew328
