I think Ol Dawg just covered it. Your Texas ID as a citizen is identical to that of a non-citizen. And unless there’s a reason to re-register, like… the state purging thousands of names from the roll in Texas, like they did this fall, or you move, or change your name… you shouldn’t need to re-register. My gut feeling is that with the save act and a federal takeover of federal elections, Trump would immediately order that all democrats must re-register. If you think about it, we’ve all said that your situation shouldn’t trigger a need to re-register… but the same would be true of the millions and millions of (imaginary) people committing widespread voter fraud… they’d be grandfathered in like you are. The headaches of re-registering (cost, time, aggravation, and potentially losing the right to vote) would land solely on the Dems, hopefully securing an illegitimate win for the Rs. Why else would he be pushing so hard? The Rs won both chambers of congress and the presidency less than two years ago… but now fixing voting is more important that any other issue in America, according to Trump? It’s a move towards authoritarianism, in my opinion.

Texas just decided to not include the formatting of a citizenship line in their REAL ID TDL’s. Doesn’t matter. Unless you change your name or move, you’re already registered to vote. All you need to be able to vote is a photo ID. In this case, your new TDL is fine. You don’t need anything else.

NY real ID has the same requirements to prove citizenship. Make me understand that.

It doesn’t. The problem is that your ID looks exactly like the ones that the state of Texas issues to non-citizens. You can use it as photo ID on Election Day, but you can’t use it to register or re-register to vote.

quite frankly, the effort and time put in is lost on all but a handful of members. I made a pretty serious effort in the soccer forum several years back due to my soccer background, and the threads would get 1 or 2 responses from the same small handful of members. At some point the reward isn't worth the effort. I would love to see more posters take the initiative and post game threads and results for their schools.

True. But, you do know the IRGC is still in control of the populace and weapons. You also know someone is still executing the people. I said when this started I had faith in our military and planners. I did not have faith in the conclusion, or this Administration’s plans for after the kinetic action. I stand by that still. I will be hopeful. But, not optimistic.

Certainly not a well kept secret. But after learning last week who would be hired, I was asked not to announce until it is announced tomorrow. Everyone can be patient.

I think it’s good in that in the least, we are talking. I believe everyone knows there has to be a change in leadership. Like you said, I don’t trust them either. Trump knows this as well. Maybe the strait can open fully. I’m interested to see what happens.
