I’m no expert, but we could have used the MOAB (daisy cutter) to hit the entrances and still do massive damage….like the caves where we thought Bin Laden may have been hiding. This would have set them back for years, but we used higher tech bombs that could burrow deep and then exploding. People who deny that these bombs were effective are simply wanting it to be so.

You’re so right. One family is dealing with a dead son. I know that feeling all too well. The loss of a child has to be the most challenging thing to bear. It will never go away, but time helps heal. The other family is having to deal with their son murdering a young man. I understand wanting to defend his actions, but to blame the dead victim is beyond my comprehension. We all have to be held accountable for our own actions. If not, justice can never be served and none of us are safe.

Mentioned in another thread how Mossad was great at what they do in their sphere of the world. But, the U.S. is global. When people say ‘they’ control the airspace over such and such, the U.S. controls the satellites. Not much goes on that we can’t see ahead of time anywhere/any time. That’s part of the reason the Chinese are reportedly trying to develop a ‘satellite killer.’ If you haven’t heard of it, do a search for <China/Russia developing satellite killer>. Trump created the Space Force for a reason. People laughed. But, it’s no joke. By the way, 7th gen aircraft are already in test phase. Rumors have it that AI is being integrated. Makes me think of the movie Stealth.

That is a tough one for me. This is a tragedy on both sides. Two kids lost their life,. One parent has to deal with never being able to see their son again. The other has to deal with seeing their Son probably spend the rest of his life in jail, or a significant portion of it in jail. Then also deal with the self guilt (admitted or not) that they raised a murderer. I can't begin to imagine the pain in either case.

I’m sure that when diesel prices begin to fall, the expenses that were passed on to the customer will fall also. That is, after all, the way we fight the higher prices and help all Americans.
-
Gas Buddy has ours locally about right. I did see one Shell station that was 3.25 when I was out yesterday. But, it was the outlier. Most were 3.09-3.19. A lot depends on when they had to buy their last load.
-
ULSD added some cost. Friggin regulations again. But, I agree.

Went to an Astros game a couple weeks ago and saw a station around Channelview with diesel prices lower than gas.

Absolutely - 99% of all delivery vehicles use diesel. It needs to go back to the days when diesel was $1.00 or more cheaper than unleaded. I bought my first 3/4 diesel truck when it was that way.

Hader ties an Astro record with 21 consecutive saves to start the season. Ties Dave Smith's record. Houston is currently top 3 in AL in both hitting and pitching. No other American League team is top 3 in both categories. Astros currently have the 2nd best record (47-33) in AL (Tigers have best record at 50-31) and 3rd best record in all of baseball. Keeping that 2nd best record will allow Houston to not play in Wild Card round and have homefield for Divisional round.

If you didn't watch the news briefing this morning, a lot of information was shared. Here are the cliff notes..... 1. The leak about the bombing being unsuccessful was a low confidence report and was wrong. 2. A team of researchers have been studying and watching via satellite the construction of the Fordow since 2009, along with intelligence on the ground. They determined that they did not have a weapon that could penetrate it. 3. A team of scientist (PHD's) designed the Bunker buster bombs. At one time it was stated that team was using the majority of the "super computers" making the bomb. They were sent in a particular order all timed differently and each bomb had a specific job to do. 4. The mission was a huge success and Iran's nuclear program is toast......... [Hidden Content]

I think this is appropriate here…..

It did jump to its highest level since mid 2024 for deliveries bought a couple weeks ago because of speculation around Israel/Iran. But, diesel benchmark is already back down by over .50 cents. Lower even than before the aforementioned spike. Prices should be coming down again for the next deliveries. But, you’re always going to pay more in your locale. We definitely need diesel prices as low as they can reasonably be since trucking is our main delivery system in this country. Can easily be argued diesel price is more important than other grades.

I was curious as to your decision to stop Trump from winning. Your solution is about as effective as attempting to stop a home invader with a water pistol. I think Trump’s cabinet is a huge improvement over the last one. You were happy with those clowns…..and I do mean clowns.

for the wealthy in large part by cutting Medicaid, the health insurance program that now covers ([Hidden Content]) more than 71 million people. The bill also makes plans on the Affordable Care Act exchanges, which cover 24 million people, more expensive and more difficult to sign up for. Put it together, and under the version of the bill passed by the House, 16 million people would lose their health insurance, according to estimates ([Hidden Content]) by the Congressional Budget Office. It would be the most devastating loss of health care coverage.

Quite a few ppl are going with Obama care these days. Affordable He'll never replace it cuz he can't come up with anything better... America's Healthcare is a joke.
