Woodville has a really good team...QB is slowly getting better. Defense is playing well and the line is good with a dynamic RB. Score should have been much, much more onesided. I think Woodville's goalline offense is still bad really poor...they should outlaw throwing the ball inside the 10.

Man what a game though. Looking forward to district starting. Hopefully we can keep the momentum going!

Man HF just beat us fair and square. We had a very bad night and they capitalized on literally everything. HF is pretty dang good though.

HF is making a habit of leaving teams saying that. Stafford was a “4-pt favorite” over us tonight. Having said that, the rest of vidor’s season has impressed me.

Vidor could easily be 3 - 1, don’t know what team that was that played against HF. Not taking nothing away from HF because they are legit but that was not Pirate Football when they played each other.

Had the same thoughts, they have some good pieces and most likely will finish 4th but I didn’t fully buy in.

I don’t blame him at all. It’s just weird how everyone got sucked in last year and it somehow carried over to this year despite them not beating even a single decent 4A squad during that time frame.

Down to 5 Senior starters total now between O & D. Unreal! Lost the whole right side of the OL early in the first game. Now, we’ve lost the rest. Reynolds (TE) is the only original starter left.

Their coach definitely schedules to their favor, credit to him. Especially when you start the year 0-3 in the Distict of Doom.

Although these things are still true as you stated I still have them going in 4th in district.

This was the Kountze varsity team right? I would have thought the score would be reversed.

This is the first game I’ve noticed the D actually run more blitzes. I wonder if coaches were concerned about the secondary, and wanting to get fundamentals and experience with the young guys before leaving them a little exposed from blitzing? Either way, they played a lot better when it counted. Still need to improve. But, I’m happier with the progress they’re making.

This. I said the same thing to some coaches in the press box. You punt and pin them deep and make them drive the entire length of field with just 1 timeout. I also didn't like calling the blitz on a 4th and 19.

Decided to attend this one. Was happy with the offense overall especially since OlDawg informed all were backups. I am relieved that TE is getting involved in the passing game. Defensively, I'd like to see the DB's be more aggressive at the LOS. I dont like the scheme where they play 10 yds off the wr and giving them the ability to run their routes without resistance. They still get beat over the top so why not jam them at the LOS. Anyway a nice team win. Go LP!
