Love Stingaree. Used to pull the boat up and take a break just for the crabs and Stingaritas. Only motorcycle uh-oh I've ever had--after riding for all my life--was filling up after about 3 large Stingaritas on the way back home. Told my wife to keep her feet on the rear pegs, got off to fill up, forgot (too drunk in fact) to put the kickstand down, and watched her slow motion fall. Still with her feet on the pegs, looking at me with a dumbfounded look pinned by the bike, calmly saying, "You told me to keep my feet on the pegs." Yep. Too young and stupid even in my 40s. lol

I was at home, my Son was 8 months old and I was freaking out a little. I remember how everyone was on edge for a long time.

Was in a boat fishing in East Bay. Didn't know about it until around 1pm when I got back to Stingaree boat ramp to clean fish. Spent the rest of the day watching it on the tube at beach cabin.

Good Luck PNG. I'm beginning to see--after Deer Park's dismantling of Kingwood last night--that La Porte has looked young. But, they've played two excellent football teams. I'm always critical because I expect a lot even though I don't post it all here where the boys might read. But, I think Crawford and the Deer are both a lot better than I originally thought. I knew they were both solid. But, they're both better than just solid. The main difference in the two seems to be that Deer Park doesn't beat themselves. Crawford is a little penalty prone--but more explosive. PNG needs to play error free.

Doesn't Lake Creek have a new, or only second year coach? Maybe he had a hard time getting someone scheduled since he's just kind of starting...

I was at Lamar University in my junior year. Coach Jolly let us out early but didn’t say why…walking to the front of setzer center. I open the doors and tons of students gathered looking up at one of those old grey box tvs hung up on the wall…whatever channel it was on the headline said America Under Attack…. never forget it. September 11, 2001 I was sitting at my station in the top floor of what was then a Williams Energy Bldg. in the Energy Corridor in Memorial designing a plot plan for a proposed, massive cogeneration plant that was going to interconnect the Texas energy grid to New Mexico, Arizona, and west. There are very few things I remember as vividly as 9-11. I was up drinking coffee when the first plane hit. My son was 8 months old, and I was concerned for his safety, almost in a panic. It was my first child. That event, so far, is the only event in my lifetime that Republicans and Democrats were truly united as Americans.

Anahuac turned the ball over (INT, two fumbles) on their first three possessions. Liberty took advantage of those turnovers and converted it to a 13-0 lead in 1st quarter. Anahuac finally got their offense going and made adjustments defensively and more importantly stopped turning it over. Passing game started hitting big plays and was able to get to the edges in the run game. Neither defense showed that they can be dominant. Both are small up front. I was expecting sort of a shootout. Something in the 40 something to 30 something game. Turnovers kind of thwarted that some. Was still a good competitive game which I expected.

Well good news is for those that think the district is down… The district has a much more favorable bi district matchup this year than the last two years with really only Stafford being the only above average team that they have to worry about. Will know more about them after tonight
