Truman created the Economic Council after WW2, and began to interject the Federal Government into every aspect of our lives, while also controlling the economy. Once people get power, they don’t relinquish it easily if ever. The beast continues to feed the beast.

I remember back in the Jim Gilligan days, the Rice Owls always were in the top 3. They would play Lamar and Lamar would beat them, and it was a regular occurrence. Hopefully my Longhorns can prevail. Didn’t see the game listed on SECN.
