  3. I have a feeling OF is going to find a way somehow. I can see that backup getting some more playing time if Mr 4 year isn't getting it done. Any of you OF diehards hear the word on the street that Breaux is jumping ship after this year? Just what I've heard from some buddies of mine that bleed orange and white.
  4. This has turned out to be such a fickle district. At this point I'm better off predicting where my wife wants to eat. Give me BC by 10
  5. East Chambers is solid. OF struggled to score last week in the redzone, and was only able to walk away with 13 points offensively. That being said I am taking EC on this 41-14.
  6. 1. Not the govts job….just another way to misuse taxpayers money 2. also rewrite the tax code 3. Expanding govt does not benefit the people 4. It’s whatever… 5. 7. I agree, Defense played a heck of a game, and scored the only points, They were given the short field many times, and still only held them to 13 points( Not including the scope and score by OF D). I am sure that things will get turned around. My only hope is that it happens before Playoff opportunities are taken away.

  9. The Texas law says, “with the intent” to commit the assault, “administers or provides to the victim”. So is merely giving or providing it to her with intent to commit the assault a crime? I would say yes but I don’t have a clue how the DA would approach a situation where she asked for the drug. If the “intent” to commit the assault is giving the drugs, the intent overcomes any question of how she took it. That is to say that the person knew that it would render her incapable of refusing or resisting the sex act. There has been at least one case where the woman volunteered to take ketamine under a doctor’s care but then the doctor was accused of sexually assaulting her. So voluntarily taking the drug doesn’t necessarily negate the crime. That goes back to my original comment about not being able to say no. Even if a girl says, let’s take some drugs and get high, once she is unable to consent or say no, it doesn’t matter if she took the ketamine. She could have just as well voluntarily drank alcohol until she passed out. At that point it is still without consent. A guy can’t believe, she voluntarily got drunk so I can have sex with her. In reference to this case, it wasn’t a single guy but the accusation was several and with comments like free sex upstairs. If that can be proven, I don’t know how a guy can claim that a woman I don’t know consented to sex while she is unconscious or almost so even if she took the drug voluntarily. In this case I doubt that the issue will be whether she knowingly took the ketamine because knocking her out likely ends all other debate. The huge problem will be the time frame of the accusation and the gathering of evidence. Now if an eye witness(es) comes forward…….
  10. computer rankings and picks should be posted today.....editor still working out the kinks in the new admin panel... most of the bad data on team pages and schedules has been cleaned up at least for UIL 11man since I did it lol....if there's something wrong w/a team page email me and I can fix it [email protected]
  11. Maybe. Funny thing is, they've been in position most of the time. They're just not completing the play. So, I can't really say it's the coaching. Yes, they have allowed some explosive plays. But, the coverage has been better than previous years. It's almost like Lufkin against BU. Lufkin's D isn't near what they showed against BU. I don't know how many TO's LP has created. But, I don't remember many at all.
  12. Sorry for the people in Mobile/NOLA area. But, I'm glad the storm isn't coming this way. Still supposed to be a beautiful evening.

  14. Lp defense will make Pam offense look like last year in 2 nights 🫡
  15. Put this in the wrong thread... It will be tough for LP to beat PAM with LP's defense playing the way it has been. We all know it. But, I'm voting for them anyway as a homer pick. I do say, if they are TO free, they have a shot. PAM's offense isn't near what it was last year, and they've been taking advantage of a slew of TO's to get short fields, and keep opponents from scoring. If they come up against a team that can score points, be TO free, and pin them deep with special teams, that team has a good shot at a win. PAM hasn't shown to be able to consistently drive the entire length of the field on sustained drives very often. Could LP be that team? Possibly. Depends on if they were able to address defensive issues during the bye week.

  18. Forgot to mention, YBarra's also own Iguana Joe's. He also helped start El Matador Foods (national food supply company). That's it as far as I know. El-Toro Gringo's Johnny Tamale's Jimmy Changa's Iguana Joe's Bullritos Burger Libre El-Toro is the original. All are basically the same food except for Burger Libre obviously. A little menu variation. But, much of it is the same. Just pick your price point and location. They're all good, and YBarra's are good people. One of the brothers of the LPsportsNET broadcast team is on the LP School Board, and is also CPO of Gringo's.
  19. Question - so, if she freely ask for drugs, like Ketamine, and does so voluntarily, there is no more ability for her to consent according to the law?
  20. I’d say Orangefield would be the favorite… then East Chambers… then who knows
