La Porte has won a lot of games through the decades with a strong running game, good special teams play, and defense. You guys know that better than many. Our situations are somewhat reversed this year in Bizarro World. But—like y’all knew the O would be the weaker part of the team this year—LP knew the D would be ours. You just play the hand you’re dealt, and keep working on the rest, and hope to improve. One thing about LP since Berneathy’s been back, LP has—generally—slowly improved as the season has progressed. He schedules tough tests to learn. Not necessarily win. Last year’s PO collapse was an outlier. That was an epic collapse in the second half and an embarrassment. But—to give Weiss credit—their passing attack hit directly on LP’s weakness. Once they got on a roll with momentum, they rode it. Talented club.

I almost signed up the other day then heard the format was changed. I went back and had a look to see for myself what everyone was talking about then I decided not to sign up. Since Barbers Hill isnt in SETX ''coverage area" any longer I was just looking for another option to get info on BH and the district they are in. The Baytown Sun is my best bet.

I wouldn’t say it’s a rivalry thing, I think a lot folks love to see BC struggle, and they will take any and every opportunity to talk their 💩. They are struggling big time right now. So naturally the haters come out to play. Regardless, this district is far from decided and BC has got to bounce back next week if they want a place at the table come playoff time.

The one consistant facet of Memorial since Morgan's been coach is consistant special teams. There were many a year which bad snaps, shanked punts, etc put the defense in percarious situations..... Morgan was a kicker @TJ and PV so salute to him suring that phase up week after week. Year after year
