Crosby and Fairfield let me down this week, not to mention Nederland.

Looking at these scenarios, the only difference between them and the point system is the Lufkin and Sterling both win scenario, and Lufkin would be in either way at 5-3. The rest are the same. (Well, RSS would already be technically eliminated in the point system. But, they realistically are in this system as well.)

IDK about dog-walking, but bad tackling and poor pursuit for sure. Without going back and watching replays, it seems like Nederland actually ran the ball better than we did against TC, for ~3 qtrs anyway.

I sure hope that Vautrot's hasn't shut down, and now you got me thinking about golf at Idylwild this week, with lunch afterward at Vautrot's, including blackberry cobbler. Friday, @ PNG, after fish tacos from Tia's. Saturday, @ Lamar, after opening morning of duck season. Lunch TBD, but BBQ links sounds good.

Nederland should have dog-walked Texas City. They were so consistent tackling all season. Watching Texas City run through arm tackles was surreal to watch.

I really have no idea. I put my thoughts in the 9-5A thread. I don't have a direct connection to the team. If I were to place a bet, I'd bet a 'No.'

Not what PNG is doing but what Ned is not. Nederland makes very few mistakes when they play PNG each year. We talk about it over here how clean they play us. Then I have watched them follow that up with very sloppy play. Focus problem maybe??? Bulldogs are a much better team than what I saw Friday night. TC is not!

I dont have the DEC rules, only was texted the point system and that once you go to points you stay w/points...if there's a provision about best mutual record amongst a 4-way tie aka a mini district it would make sense you'd take the teams who are 2-1 in the 3-way tie but w/o seeing the rules in the handbook there's no way to know for sure

If Ashly Elam is one of them then you're wrong. When 4 teams are tied you go by head to head first. Just between those 4 teams. Think of it as a mini district standing. Then if teams are tied after that then you go by points

I gotta show some love to our district mates. I'd give the advantage to HF based on strength of schedule. Horns seem to be battle tested even though they lost 2 games. And only by 1 point at Silsbee. I expect Waggoner to make adjustments and game plan for a decent run. Lamar should be willing to open up for SETX now that Ross likes to recruit the area. They did allow OF vs Woodville during regular season.
