  1. WOS it's not about the media publishing the story, it never was...it was about Shapiro feeling the personal need to extend the content further, when in my opinion, and only my opinion it was not his place-duty-responsability to do so. Some situations can simply just be left alone and we can stop feeling that it is our right to engage in it. I'm finished, and again I just think we all should be, thoughts and prayers go out to those truly effected by this news.
  2. I'll disagree back. Point blank it's SIMPLY unnecessary to have to "share" that information when it's already easily accessed. Your post itself shows your assumption that the deceased knowingly made a mistake or did something wrong and paid for it with his life. However we have no idea what took place...was this agent willingly ingested?...how did he come in contact with it?...are those close to him aware of a substance problem? Yes there are lots and lots of questions. Never the less the speculation is going to be huge and it doesn't effect us nearly as much as it does his family. If you think Shapiro is educating people on opioids than your a bigger slap than he is. That's not a form of journalism or awareness. It's a bs excuse to extend content and pretend to be proactive. It's also apart of millennial entitlement era. Yall make me sick!
  3. Those who were concerned about this could of read that on their own. No further need to broadcast anything about this man.
  4. All very good points. I just think that he was not happy with some outcomes in BC and was approached about coming back to HJ. The talent here isn't anything close to what it was when he left but we would like to believe he will do the best he can by the kids!
  5. Agreed, just curious if he would consider since he was looked over last time around.
  6. Say all you want about talent, this is a difficult time to hire coaches. The effort of turning around a program starting in the summer as well as getting coaches at that time is going to be difficult. HJ at least made a hire 10 days after their AD/HC resigned. Hopefully the same is being said for Livingston.
  7. When Sloan got hired at HJ he brought a dc with him that he worked with at GR. B-Rod worked for Tullos at Cleveland as well and to my memory lives in Livingston area. He's now the dc at the new Conroe school. We loved him at HJ and would give Livingston something to be exited about.
  8. . Dubois is a solid coach who is outstanding at running his offense. He had THE BEST talent HJ has ever seen in their history of the school. NOBODY in Sour Lake will deny that. Therefor the circumstances at HJ for Sloan vs Dubois are two totally different scenarios. Not taking anything away from either one them but just stating the obvious. It's just silly to bring up Dubois at this point. However the coordinators from BC will both be interested in HJ if Sloan even gets GR.
  9. That is world class alright! He should be competing to double gold at NCAA's in the next few years!
  10. Highly doubt he would of suited up the JV at NRG...maybe for a playoff game but not for a district game in a nice stadium...That's all it was...a district game in a Pro stadium and sub varsity parents feel like their kids DESERVE to travel and suit up? Quit griping HJ parents, your creating a very snobby overview of all the HJ parents who I'm sure know this is not an issue nor should it be.
  11. I'm sure undiscovered is talking to me. So FYI, HJ was suppose to play Livingston and then that got dropped because Livingston lost count of their kids, lol. Luckily Hardin contacted HJ contacted after this happened and the contract was set. The new head coach should simply honor it and get ready to start making his schedule after the upcoming season. This has nothing to do with with getting more prepared for district. This is an extreme inconvenience when it comes to budget and things that surround dropping games.
  12. I can't believe y'all are placing blame on Sloan. Y'all have to remember Tatum and Center were two very distant match ups and Sloans first team went 2-8 and lost Kelly.(blue Owls senior year) If HJ is still living off the two seasons that Dubois had than Hardin can still be living off their 7-7 state qualfiying team. Word is Haynes also got Westbury to back out of their game with La Marque so they would play Hardin. However, Westbury backed out on Hardin. Since Hardin isn't very good I'm sure its been easier to find a game. This post was to pull attention to the absolute unethical mess that is Larry Haynes. It's also to show that if it's not stipulated that there would be a fine or penalty if you break contract, in the middle of one season to the next, the uil will not make you honor that. Things that make me smfh. Student athletes of Hardin High School and Middle School should be in everyones thoughts because they aren't in the best interested of Hardin's. So sad!!
  13. Has anyone heard the non sense about Larry Haynes not honoring the contract between Hardin and HJ? Apparently he showed up during the football season and tried to convince Sloan to change schedule before Stark was even let go. Looks like Hardin is under very poor leadership. What a shame.
  14. Great job WOS, Giddings has cats but can't get them involved, Best of luck in the semis!
