HJ came out fighting and never stopped till the end. Great job HJ you played a good game. Everyone has an off night and tonight it was EC, not taking anything away from HJ because they have improved. It just did not look like the same team I've seen the last few weeks. Good luck to both teams with the rest of the year and play on the top end of your game. Prayers for Mr. Trent as he recovers from all of his injury's. God Bless Everyone.

Great defensive gameby the hawks tonight and the kids executed it pretty darn well... # 27 from EC is special!!!!!...broke a long run, but the hawks had 4 or 5 players hitting him all night long...

To those calling it an upset... i will say this.... there was not a kid in the HJ locker room that viewed it as an upset.  These kids expect to win!

So glad to see HJ get the homecoming win!  Our thoughts are with the injured kid from EC... It was one HECK of a hit he took...

Like I said on the other EC/HJ link. HJ has 5 sophmores and 3 juniors starting on defense. Probably 3 other sophmores that could start now. Only 4 seniors starting on offense and they are stepping up and becoming great leaders! All the negativity in the locker room is gone! All the negativity in the hallways is gone! Now that I have to shut up, most all of the negativity in the stands will be gone! These boys play till the whistle blows as a team. I for one can admit, like any other dad in the stands, that I dont agree with everything the coach does, but what I forgot was that this group of boys will give you their heart. They believe they can beat anyone and thats all that matters.  You guys can say upset all you want or EC didnt have all their players? Whatever! EC didnt look like the same team? EC still had their #1 back and he got contained!!!! He got hit! by multiple players multiple times!!!!! I hope the kid that got hurt on the opening kickoff has a speedy recovery, but I believe that hit set the tone for HJ the rest of the night. Thats why we play the game baby!!! Anyone can be beat on any given night. Please!!!!! Keep predicting HJ to get beat 100-0!!! Hey, it may happen, but I promise you, this group of boys will not quit!

First, the guy that said that isn't an HJ person, he is an Anahuac person.

Second, this so called one point win over a 2A school is apparently a big game for HJ. If you don't think that go revisit the prediction thread where almost no one felt HJ would be within 20 points of a "2A" school, who by the way, has already beaten several 3A schools. In fact several of the posters in there are Silsbee supporters.

Not sure where that came from, but trivializing a win by someone is not your usual style TV.

When did a scrimmage begin to count in any standings?  And, as far as I remember, we didn't follow up a two point win with "world-beating" nonsense.  Let's you two and me make the H-J game wager now before your confidence is beaten out of you.  OK?

Sorry, I didn't know what a "wackpack" was/is?  Had I known, I would have left the statement alone.  But since we are "Close competitors" with H-J, I was not going to let a loose, cheap shot get by - you know, the smack stuff?  And, I did not trivialize the Hawks' win.  I was just taking a stand on a grandiose statement and attempting to put it in proper perspective.  OK? 8)
