[/quote]From what I know, the Central Staff didn't want to risk injury in a tiebreaker game.  He felt like since they have beaten Nederland twice, that the game was meaningless and that he didnt' fear the brackets because no matter who you face, you'll have to face them reguardless no matter what no the way to State.  Me personally?  I would have prefered they play, but I can see his point.  Even though we are deep and have talent, if one of the main pieces go down in a 'meaningless' game, then we've screwed ourselves for a deep playoff run.

Neither team gets a bye. Nederland also cannot play a 'warm-up game' bc they have played all of their maximum pre-season games (tourneys don't count). Not sure if Central has played their max pre-season games or not. Sounds like Coach Lee won't play a 'warm-up game' anyway, since he doesn't want to play the play-in game.

Central can play a warm up game if it so chooses. They have only played 19 games (excluding tourney games). Nederland has played the limit of 21 games, therefore they cannot play a warm up game and the reason why Coach English wanted to play the seed game.

CE King is more of a guard oriented team. They do have a couple of bigs in '6"5 Woodson and '6"4 Anderson, with Anderson being the better player, averages 12 points and 8 boards. Hardy, the two guard, is the player for that team, averaging 16 points a game.

If Central keeps that defensive intensity up like they have shown lately, I expect the Jaguars to beat CE King.
