Right in the 4th quarter, it was a comeback, touchdown after touchdown.

i said at the beginning of the year that burkeville was really gonna have to start fighting because they were moved out of that district. that district has pretty much always been at the bottom in terms of strength.

Man, did I leave that game too early. I left with about 4 minutes left, West Sabine up 34-12, it was over. West Hardin had moved the ball pretty well all game but when they would reach the red zone, they would just stall out. West Sabine had too much speed for the Oilers. That must have been an exciting finish, too bad I missed it, I was getting cold anyway.

What a shame. Just 3 years ago WH was in the 2A playoffs being somewhat competitive with the eventuall state champion Garrison. Two years ago they made the 2A playoffs in one of the tougher districts around and lots of these seniors contributed to that team. NOW, they get their butts handed to them for 3 quarters by a 3-7 1A team. What has happened? I am not placing blame on coaches, kids, whoever. I am just really suprised to see them take this quick an exit with the talent they have for a 1A school.

I will say the fact that High Island cancelled on them last week didnt help.

Man Oh Man. I just got home from the game. Good game at the end. I am proud of the Oilers. It would have been easy to pack it in, down 34-12, but they fought til the last second. Good game West Sabine and good luck.

let me tell you that last onside kick attempt had us with our noses pressed against the window in the press box....my seat was right on the 50 yard line, I was looking dead on top of it from the press box and I could of sworn the young man was straddling the 50 yard line. but it was a great game...never have been to a 1A game , Next year I will make an commitment to go to more. great game oilers and tigers
