CONGRATS LADY REBELS  ;D ;D

Lady Rebels lost one game at the tournament in pool play 44-31 to Buna.
They defeated Bridge City twice, Hemphill, Newton to win the tournament

Congrats Lady Rebs Back to work Monday the target grows larger but stick together and believe in each other and your coaches.

I really enjoyed the whole Tourney....congrats of Evadale, you have a great 1A team; destined to be the Regional 1A Champions.

What an unusual Tourney setting with the only 1A and 3A there-- ending up playing for the championship.

Great games, especially for BC--the new Coach Gordon Fontaine for BC has taken a basketball program that for four years was totally collapsed and has begun a for-sure recovery for a hapless program.  Hopefully, by the end of the season BC will be at least "competitive".

Fun Tourney, congrats to Evadale for whipping the 2As and one 3A that were playing in the Tourney    ;D

It was unusual but remember Evadale got in the championship bracket by 2 point differential in pool play. If they would have lost to Buna by 15 instead of 13 would have been different ballgame.

They did play well after the loss to Buna, but lets give a hats off to the Lady Cougars they only lost the one game to Bridge City.

Evadale and Buna will meet again later this month.

The Lady Rebels will test everyone they play because of their tenacious defense and teamwork.They wont be easy win for anyone this year and they are very young.
Should be fun to watch.

Dr. Baden: Buna has a good team but lost to Bridge City by 26 points.  BC Cards wore down pretty fast after that game.  They will get into "basketball shape" and get more girls ready to play ball a little later in the season.

They are just looking to be competitive this year and are enjoying learning a little about basketball.

Bridge  City plays in a very tough district and going up and down the floor will be their challenge but as the year goes on and if they get in good shape they will do ok.
Buna will make some noise in their district. They too play in a very tough district but those kids get after it pretty good. They just didnt look good that first game against BC but they played the rest of the way very well.
This will be an interesting year and one thing is for sure there will be plenty of good basketball.
