Lots of people reading this with no replies, so I'll throw out a few names.

Nederland-  Brett Brown(So.) and Jacob Pitts(Jr.)-  Both saw limited time in last years playoff run.  Both should see plenty of time on the mound this year, especially early while Bellow is still recovering.  Also these two could battle it out to be the Dogs DH.

BC- Forrest Zoch(Jr.)-  Pitched quite a few innings last year for the Cards, but this year he will be the key to them winning the district again over OF.  Hicks will be Hicks, but look for Zoch to be a solid #2.  From what I hear, he is touching 90 from the left side and should have a big year for BC.

Cameron Dishon(So.)-  Mainly used as a pinch runner last year,  look for him to start in the outfield for BC.  He had a good summer with the Sun Devils, and I look for him to step it up for the Cards this year.

You have lots of big shoes to fill after losing all of those Seniors last year.  Which young guys step up and help the Bears get into the playoffs in 2010?
Since many LCM players played Babe Ruth in Mid County last summer I look for 2 guys to make a contribution who will probably make their debut on varsity, Ryan Waddell and Alec Blem.

West Brook - I think Preston Warner and Logan Dugas (both Soph.)will help this team out a bunch this year. Preston Warner has a great arm (upper 80's) and a big stick. Logan, also has a great arm and great control. Look for these guys to turn some heads this year.

i agree that those guys are going to look good as sophs and will have to make a big contribution for this team to have any success.  Upper 80's is probably pushing it.

Dugas can bring it with a lot of life on his pitches. He always reminds me of that Steve Miller song "Space Cowboy".  ;)

His dad Clay is a great guy and my family enjoyed being around the Dugas' when we played for Morgan and the Gladiators. Best of luck this year!

For Carthage Sophomores Jacob Blissett, Austin Williford, Clint Cage, Joey Harrison and Hunter Walden will all make their varsity debuts this spring.

Two other sophomores LHP Kody Wright, and Dayton Russell(Dustin Russell -catcher's brother) could also find their way onto the varsity once district starts.

Juniors Anthony Morgan ( Starting QB ) and Kendall Thompson (LB) return to the diamond after missing their sophomore baseball seasons due to injuries.

Who at PNG could start with no varsity experience?
Not sure, but I know they need a catcher and another outfielder.  Any idea who is in the running for these spots?
Provost and Boudion should battle for catcher. There is a number of players who will fight for the other outfield spot (Knox,Jorgenson,Brandom) to name a few.

At least we have 1 PNG fan on the baseball board, I think they are all still stuck on football season.  Don't be a stranger.

I thought Knox (Hunter right?) was a SS/2nd baseman?

Stone is at SS and Denzlingler started at 2nd last year as a Soph.  I guess Knox is making the move just trying to get on the field.  I haven't seen Knox play much, but I know Jorgenson can swing it from the left side.

Calib Hadnot of woodville who was also their QB in football is expected to throw a lot of innings this year.. the last few seasons he has been in the outfield...if he throws a baseball like he does a football he will be pretty tough
