How many of your schools varsity basketball players play football?

Always leave it to some HJ guy to try and read between the lines. ::) Silsbee had this many last year playing football and they started the year 11-1.

Give it a rest. I was just wanting to see how many played football.

I know Turner and Gus are basketball starters, Venable maybe too. Is Anderson and Persohn potential starters? I know the first 3 start for the football team, do the last 2 start?

Are you saying that at East Chambers, if you want to play basketball or any other varsity sport, you HAVE to play football? Am I understanding you correctly?

Its been a while since I've been in man but I know going into my freshman year I wanted to play basketball but not football and they wouldn't let it happen.

I was told this is not the case. It's just so that nearly every kid plays football and other sports at EC. That's how it has always been.

[/quote]When my son was a sophmore we received a letter in the mail stating that to play other sports you had to play football...the fb numbers were down and they were trying to bring it up......neadless to say it took about an hour to iron that little wrinlkle out....I support  the fb program but that tatic didn't work....things are a lot better the last few years.

No Look I'm glad that didnt last long, surely the ole if you dont play football you cant play basketball statement isnt still around...Please. If a kid wants to play basketball, then he should just get to play basketball..same in every other sports...Schools are there to serve kids, keep them involved in whatever they want to do..Even if its just one sport.
