2.
Just looking at the 7-6 loss to Garrison is scary, due to the caliber of team that garrison usually puts on the field, but based on the rest of the games, it looks like lovelady is going to be a team similar to colmesneil with maybe a little more athleticism. If the oilers can limit the turnovers (which is killing them this year) and contain the speed (always a problem for WH) then they have a shot. Lets hope the boys can come out and play smashmouth football and come away with the W! Either way, rain or shine, I'll be pulling for ya Friday night. Lets go Blue!!
well said ;D
 3.
If West Hardin plays like they know how, then I would not put it pass them to come out victorious verses Kountze. Contain the speed Kountze has with their star runningback and there should be no trouble. Go get you a win West Hardin!!! Hardin plays Kountze in Kountze next week. So, I am sure some of the Hardin kids will be there supporting you West Hardin. The others will be in Hardin-Jefferson watching East Chambers. Have a great week of practice!
thanks for the support. I hope the oilers injured players get better. Get ready to battle Oilers!!
 4. i love it when the oilers come in as under dogs and prove to everyone that they are better than they have been over the past years. i do agree hardin is a great team but WH will surprise alot of people this year. i still think the oilers will pull off the upset.. the hornets shouldnt over look them and think that they dont have talent cause they do indeed have talent. if they get to big headed the oilers will take advantage of that. Oilers-26 Hardin-24
 5. This is gonna be the test for WH. they wont get blown out but its gonna be a head knocking football game for the oilers as well as the hornets. this is gonna be a game that you wouldnt wanna miss. ;D Oilers-26 Hornets-24 ;D
I wasnt to far away.
you would of been even closer if 3 of the td's wouldn't of got called back.

Oilers will win, but I would like to see them execute their offense a little better, and cut down on the turnovers. I know we scored 34 points, but Warren wasn't very impressive on either side of the ball. I am excited about the new coaching staff, they showed great energy!!!! I can't wait til we smash them bobcats.....
Well... looks like you are gonna be waiting a while. Maybe another Bobcat will move to WH and help yall out like both the Simmons boys did. No way H-D loses to WH. H-D is stacked with talent, just ask Coach Henry. We have the best team we have had in a while. Gilmore, Drake, Marberry, Tanner, Morrow and Collete are cold blooded !! WH does not have a player close to their talent.
that statement is not true.  ;D
 8.
To say either club looked good in this one is a stretch.I didn't keep any stats but there had to be at least 10/12 turnovers combined. The thing that concerns me the most about Warren is their lack of depth. They dress 21 players which isn't going to let you compete as a pretty large 2-A school.WH did have a running back who looked pretty solid.
thats the kid that moved away and came back his junior year jaybo burns #32
 9. even though it was the first game i think WH proved that they aren't gonna give up and that get got it in them to be one of the top teams in the district this year. ;D
 10.

It's ashame that after this video was taken, the league found out the kid was actually 11 and he had already been kicked out of two other 8-9 age group leagues. ;)
I figured he was 11 or twelve. He was just to athletic for an 7yr old. Thats sad. He was out there sticking 7yr olds. I would've lined him up against 15yr olds so he can see how it feels to play against kids that are 4 yrs older then you.
so what your saying is you wanna see him get hurt?? wow thats just as low as what the player and his parents did..
 11.
Henry is a good coach, I'd be happy to have him, plus he's good Basketball coach too!   ;D
i agree
 12. HULL DAISETTA!!! they beat us last year in over time 12-6 and they got the last spot for the playoffs... we r gonna demolish them this year.
 13.
another overrated team bites the dust!
Kountze is not overrated!! they r a great team.. thats why they were ranked 4th in state!!
 14.
West Hardin will not make the playoffs next year.
I think West Hardin has a great chance of making playoffs next year. They will have alot more talent.. The thing with WH is they dont have any bench players at all.. If u look at the better teams in the district such as Evadale and Spurger, they have good bench players.. WH didnt.. But next year will be different for WH. They will be alot more older team and they will have more talent. Maybe even some bench players..
 15. Why are u gonna pick HD over WH?? WH has beat HD twice already!! ;D
 16. WH has played HD twice and WH has come out on top both times that they have met. Predictions? ;D
 17. Congrats to SP on beating Spurger. I heard it was a good game.
 18.
The local news paper in Vidor puts out a paper every week. BUT they do not have a website or a link I can credit the news paper for. This is parts of a article that came out today.    The Vidorian shopper:    In addition to teaching the game Coach Mathews said he and his staff try to teach life lessons to the players. "We try to teach the kids life lessons and things we want to do,and one of the goals I have here at at Vidor is I want to change how people outside of Vidor look at us," he said. Five years ago,Donald Stowers who was their head coach over there (Central) decided we were going to pray together to show kids of different colors it doesn't matter," Mathews said. "We've done it every year but this year I didn't do it. I just forgot about it. Without having to tell them, the kids got together. The Central kids and the Vidor kids showed respect and hugged eachother after we had already shaken hands.  They got together, they prayed together and I think that's a great life lesson. Learning to judge a man by what's inside of him, not what he looks outside. The thing we started five years ago was carried over. It's not that Donald and I were doing it, it was something the kids believe in. The kids show respect for each other". Coach Mathews said Central running backs O'Neal and Daw came over after the game and hugged him and said 'Coach Mathews, keep your head up,y'all did a great job'. "That showed a lot of class by those kids. Five years ago, when we played Central there was no talking after the game. You could feel the tension. Now the kids have a lot of respect for each other. Our kids are crying after the game and they would walk over and hug them and tell them to keep their heads up. That says a lot about them."
What class shown by this team. Im amazed to hear about this. These young men are very mature and respectful.
