Congratulations to 9 yo Bridge City Boys, their Coaches and their families for an excellent showing.  Congratulations to all of the 9 yo All Stars and their Coaches in the District for being selected to represent your age division and your town.  Each player brought something to the table.  The ability to play on a tournament team shows that each of you are recognized athletes and that all of the Coaches within your League felt you would be able to step up to the plate and represent!  That alone is an accomplishment you should be proud of.  A special word of appreciation to the Tournament Team Managers, Field Coaches, Fence Coaches and Team Moms.  Without your endless hours of dedication and love of children and the game of Baseball, our children would miss out on learning the fundamentals of baseball, team work, and the ability to finish a winner no matter what the score is.  A late thank you to my All Star Coach from NSLL.  You taught me a lot about the game of baseball and along with that valuable life lessons, I won't broadcast your name, so that all past coaches get the "props" you deserve.

Bridge City is hosting the 12 yr. boys, 9/10 yr. girls and the 11/12 yr. girls.It will start July 17-20 with all teams playing on Friday and Saturday. This link has some of the brackets and places of some of the secitonal tournaments, with district 32 being in section 2

BCLL 10's over NLL 18-1 BC 10's onto sectionals. BCLL 11's 10-6 over NLL in 9 innings. Good job to all the BCLL and NLL players

Nederland and BC have very strong little league programs. Do you think the below rankings have any effect?

May 10, 2009 3A-5A Poll

1. Nederland (17-7, 13-1) - Great regular season for the Bulldogs as they are the 20-4A Champions

2. Bridge City (21-3-1, 9-1) - 21-3A Champions with just 3 losses all year

3. LC-M (21-11, 11-3) - Bears win coin flip for 2nd place in 20-4A

4. PN-G (15-10, 11-3) - Indians lose coin flip and get 3rd place in 20-4A

5. Hamshire-Fannett (19-5, 7-3) - Upset Bridge City in regular season finale to claim 2nd

6. Barbers Hill (16-10, 9-4) - Tied with KP for 1st in 19-4A

7. Orangefield (19-9, 6-4) - Cats in the playoffs as 3rd seed in 21-3A

8. Huffman (16-6-1, 12-0) - Undefeated 22-3A champs

9. Kingwood Park - Tied with BH for 1st in 19-4A

10. Vidor (14-9, 8-6) - Solid 4th place team from 20-4A

Would love to see the District 12 and 32, 9 yr old champs play a best of three series I would even help promote it. I will provide a field and concession stand and Umps! I hear both sides saying they wish they could play the other, well here is your chance. Let me know if either side is really interested.

Does anyone know where the Junior Baseball Sectionals will be at? I looked at the eteamz website and they didn't have it

RedBird5, District 12 is holding the Sectionals for Juniors. I don't think the DA has confirmed what park will host. I would guess maybe West End/Amelia field. I will post when I find out.
