Nederland at Dayton Predictions

This will be for the 10-5A D2 #3 seed.

Massey projections has this one 38-17 Nederland.

 

Thoughts? (and I don't mean the coach and player bashing thoughts)

Nederland should take it. I thought they would dominate Texas city, so no prediction here. Nederland wins by at least 1.

Ned by 13 for the 3 seed.  Should not lose this one.

Dogs should win unless they play like they did against Texas City. For some unknown reason they do not play well against those two teams

Unfortunately I feel the Broncos take this one from the DOGS. BIG NED has to many internal issues they have to fix before they can play as a Team. I predict the DOGS to finish at #4 Seed

Nederland has the talent and potential to be a much better football team, but there are some fundamentals that need to improve. Defensively, we have to become better tacklers and consistently finish plays by bringing guys to the ground. Offensively, we need longer, more sustained drives that keep our defense off the field and allow us to establish some momentum. Most importantly, we have to eliminate the costly penalties that put us behind the chains and take away opportunities.

At the end of the day, it’s about executing the fundamentals, playing disciplined football, and being more consistent in all three phases of the game. The potential is there; now it’s about putting it all together.

Nederland plays well against purple and white.  Nederland is the better team and will win.  The Mid-County Madness hangover is gone.  Remember, these kids are 14-18 years old and it's human nature for a letdown after a big week of hype.  Can't explain it.  It just happens to both PN-G and Nederland.  TXC benefitted from the post madness hangover.  Nederland's DL will get cranked up and play well.

Nederland should win. I like Dayton and they always play a great game against Nederland. The problem this season is Nederlands strengths are exactly Daytons weaknesses. Good Luck Nederland, and Good Luck to our Purple Brothers. Here is wishing a safe game.

The last 2 sentences are everything.  Couldn't of said it much better. Hope Nederland puts it all together and puts it on em.

I have the same feeling about this game that I did when Ned played TC. I was one of the few who predicted a TC victory, which happened. 
 

I hope Nederland can get it together, but I’m feeling that Dayton will come away with the win in a close one.

That's very possible.  Seems to be no love for Dayton around here, but they seem to always play Nederland a close game.  ... Just like TC.

Nederland will finish either 6-5 or 5-6. Huntsville or Montgomery will beat them like Texas High did in their last playoff appearance

Nederland has been up and down this season and has been very unpredictable.  I have low confidence that they can win this game.  A win would definitely get things going in the right direction for the playoffs.

I wonder if any of our Coaching staff is at risk due to the Prop A bond not passing? I can definitely see some of our teachers and faculty moving to new districts due to this bond getting turned down by so many. I know there was a lot of optimism that this would pass and then a Athletic bond could pass within the next year to update the Nederland facilities such as the softball/baseball fields and also provide a place to workout due to inclement weather for our players.  I know Rich was really pushing for this to happen and now seeing the voice of the Community could change his future goals IMO.
