TheSixthMan Posted September 5 Report Posted September 5 We don’t think they will contend with WOS do we, or is that a legit possibility? I haven’t been able to see them play yet and assumed this year it was going to be WOS then everyone else fighting it out for 2-4 Quote

HF and WoS is gonna be a great match up of speed on speed. If HF o line can block like they did last night watch out. They were very well prepared for vidors blitzes and stunts Quote

Almost beat them last year with a ton of injuries, and we’re definitely better than last year. They may be as well, though. Quote
bullets13 Posted September 5 Report Posted September 5 The horns exceeded all expectations last night. The line play was fantastic. Broussard had all the time he needed to pick the secondary apart. On the rare occasion Vidor broke through he was able to scramble and make plays. The d-line may have been even more impressive. Vidor picked up 3 or 4 first downs on their first drive, and then I don’t know if they had that many the rest of the game apart from their scoring drive late against the second team. The HF running game got going last night, which was nice to see after we beat LaMarque exclusively through the air last week. Special teams was solid, although the air was like soup and my kicker wasn’t getting the distance he got last week on his long kicks. All in all HF was fantastic in all facets. They dominated in all areas. I will say, as a special teams guy, Vidor’s kicker is quality, although he didn’t have much of a chance to showcase that last night. Arch for MVP 1 Quote
bullets13 Posted September 5 Report Posted September 5 Stats from last night: Blake Broussard- 18/23, 324 yds, 4 TDs, 3 rushes for 24 yds Parker Sebastian- 6 receptions, 194 yds, 2 TDs Sage Guilder- 4 rushes, 65 yds, 1 TD, 1 reception for 20 yds and a TD Cam Heckaman- 12 rushes for 61 yds, 1 TD Jace Bennett- 6 rushes for 14 yds and a TD, 1 reception for 20 yds Dwayne Long- 4 receptions for 50 yds Gage Korry- 2 receptions for 19 yds and a TD Jesus Sandoval- 7/7 XP, 1/1 FG, 1 fumble recover, 1 successful onside kick defense hasn’t been posted yet, but there were some big boys with a lot of tackles last night. Not much got into the secondary. Quote
bullets13 Posted September 5 Report Posted September 5 Fun fact: through two games Blake Broussard has 9 touchdowns and 10 incompletions. Quote

HF was DOMINANT. +10000 on the line play. Them boys must live in the film room. They were ready for legitimately everything that was thrown at them. Disguised coverages. Delayed blitzes. We could not fool them. Rooting for yall the rest of the way, yall have an extremely good team. bullets13 1 Quote
WOSdrummer99 Posted September 5 Report Posted September 5 Starting district with the potential championship matchup at HF. If they played today I give the advantage to the horns. Other factors besides the dudes will determine this game. Take it how you want. I could also see them meeting again in the playoffs. Provost Umphrey may be available if so. Still alot of time between now and then to get better or worse. bullets13 and Arch for MVP 2 Quote
