I was there for a lil while. CV is gonna have another long season with that district. Pretty sure some 3As in our area could embarrass them

I really thought UIL would have sent Cview to the Clear Lake/Deer Park/Dickinson district and Barbers Hill to our 6A district. To me that would have made more sense.

I'm suspect some dollars was sent to the UIL district makers on behalf of cove to go south...

If money was the motivating factor then cove would have paid to stay 5A for 2 more years.  

With what I know about the Cove, they embrace any challenge give to them.  No excuses, they compete and if they don’t succeed they work hard to get better.

Speaking of Crosby, the Baytown running back is looking really good for Crosby. GCM could really use him.

I had heard LP had a young receiver to compliment P. Smith. Appears I found the young man. Class of 2030, and he already has offers from Baylor, UTEP, and UTSA.

If the Dawgs can find a way to use all their weapons, this could be a very fun year.

Through the grapevine (not too credible of a source) I heard WB got the better of Dayton.

Saw a couple of WB highlight videos of two TD's but that was it. Don't know if it was JV or varsity.

I heard the same thing. WB kept is pretty vanilla, played a lot kids, and led 3 or 4 scores to 1.

WB QB fast scrappy  but likes to throw a lot  doesn't hurt he has  a  big athletic  TE to throw to.  Over all a well rounded well coached team on both sides of the ball.  This was a true scrimmage  unlike years past under Jerry Stewart when all scrimmages were like live games and Dayton always played to win. So it's harder to get an accurate assessment of either team. Un like WB Dayton split time between starter and backup QB .  Starter Jerry jr. coaches son is a SR. will be a game changer high football IQ with athletic ability to match. Passing game was crisp  with several go to receivers our offense will be hard to stop this year. Young sophomore RB will be transitioning to his starting role  and  is developing nice had a nice run up the middle  for a TD in the  overtime scenario.  WB had the pleasure of two sets of downs due to Dayton penalties  in their scenario. Dayton also had a long pass to the  red zone  called back for some penalty no one could figure out.   Daytons Defense  looks to be much improved this year passing and run game  we will see how they stack up. Over all it looked  like two good teams that might make some noise this year.

Memorial scored 3 TD's and Nimitz did not score. 

Played 3 live quarters.

Still looking like memorial from last year 

just different kids doing the same thing besides the qb
