One of them is the transfer from Lumberton who had to play JV last year. I thought you guys already knew or I wouldve asked the youngsters around me who it was. Using MP roster it looks like Matthews was the younger qb with a strong arm that launched a few 40-50 yard rainbows Quote

I still cant understand LCM calling so many qb runs dj 1 Quote

The Junior Varsity teams took the field first with Jasper scoring twice and Diboll scoring once. Then it was time for both Varsity squads. Diboll had 30 minutes of offense with Jasper on defense. Two long passes and runs eventually turned into scores for Diboll, but in the next 30 minutes Jasper went on offense, and they were able to move down the field and score three times before giving younger players the opportunity to get on the field. Next Friday the Dawgs will travel to Vidor for their final scrimmage before the regular season gets underway. On August 29th Jasper will travel to Tyler for their first game of the season against the Chapel Hill Bulldogs. KJAS will kick off the season with the very first Coffee with Coach from MVP’s Restaurant at 7:30 AM with everyone invited to come and be a part of the live audience. The KJAS pregame show will kick off at 7:00PM the pregame show will begin with live coverage of the game on 107.3 FM and live streaming video on KJAS.com. Quote

I'm not sure what scrimmage KJAS was reporting on but that little write up doesn't match up with the video that is posted, First of all, the scrimmage was in Diboll, not Jasper Second, Jasper went on offense first. They scored one time in the 15 minutes they were on offense. Diboll did not score in their first 15 minutes of offense. Now, unless the video didn't start until after Diboll had went on offense, the video doesn't match the write up. The video is 1 hour and 40 minutes long so I am pretty sure that was the entirety of the varsity scrimmage. Based on the video, Jasper defense played well. Jasper definitely had the size advantage over Diboll on both sides of the ball. Diboll is pretty small up front. Quote

AggiesAreWe Posted 58 minutes ago Author Report Posted 58 minutes ago Also, to clear up the Silsbee QB situation. Beau Breeden, transfer QB from Lumberton who played JV last year, has not played a live snap yet. The QB that started the scrimmage was Morris, who also starts at LB on defense. Mathews, the soph., was the other QB that came in to play. Breeden is not cleared for contact just yet. This came straight from Coach Smith. @WOSdrummer99 @Tiger33 @Boogy1000 Quote
