They tried to fix that. Last I heard it would cost too much to get the press box to the other side

Witnessed first hand last year lcms Qb1 broke his thumb before the season.

Watched the Tarkington-Hull Daisetta scrimmage tonight. First look at the new Longhorns. New offensive and defensive schemes, lots of passing by the Horns offense. Scored each time they touched the ball. HD was not able to move the ball much against our defense. Very impressed by this coaching staff, they have given these boys the confidence they lacked the past few years. Definitely not gonna be the Tarkington everyone is used to seeing.

The post was less about HD and more about Tarkington’s improvement. Didn’t matter who they played the past couple years, they got embarrassed.

Silsbee 4 to 1.5 when I left

They always have a chance to make a run. Skill positions look good and the supporting cast should rise to the occasion. But cant see them winning district this season.

Saw this report on Newton vs. Kirbyville. Gonna go out on a limb and say Newton will be the best team in the area this year other than WO-S. In the scrimmage the Eagles scored 5 times through the air and twice on the ground while also causing multiple turnovers on defense. The teams then played a quarter of game situation where Newton had two pick sixes and wound up scoring 30 to Kirbyville's 0.

It doesn’t take a scrimmage vs Kirbyville for me to go out on a limb and tell you that Newton might very well win state 🤣

Buna played decent against Beaumont Kelly.  I think we scored 3 to their 1.  Defense played well, some 2's in the secondary busted a coverage in the second round of defense on the last play to give up the score.  Offense moved the ball well using multiple backs.  Next week vs HJ will be a much tougher task and give us a better idea of where we are.

Not sure of the names. One of them is the transfer from Lumberton who had to play JV last year.
