jayhawk Posted Wednesday at 02:00 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 02:00 AM With Crosby's new Coach I think they will be competitive , I think Cita has a new coach also welcome to the jungle baby ! Quote
Cougar14.2 Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago The new OC will definitely will definitely bring the offense back from the Stone Age. Was kind of surprised he would leave Colorado State and come to high school but that's the pull of Coach Williams already paying dues. At the end of the day math just doesn't math though. With our demographics we just don't have the enrollment to play with the top 4 teams in the district and probably not with Kingwood either. Have to remember Kingwood backing into the playoffs a couple years ago with a shocker over CE King and making the regional final. SEC commit in the middle of the defense and a 5* A&M commit at left tackle anchoring a very good offensive line and they have 0 shot. That's life outside the top 4 in this district. North Shore is ranked #2 but I think Summer Creek might be the best team in the district and by far the team set up for the most success over the next decade? They couldn't deal with the CE King run game last year but I'm not sure they don't win a state title if they had went D1. That being said it's almost crazy to think CE King will still field the best collection of skill players in the district and IMO opinion the favorite out of all those teams to win a state title now that Desoto has dropped to 5A. Atascocita is the wild card, for the first time in over a decade they'll get to play D2 and their new coach already has experience coaching high level kids being that he was on staff for Desoto's 2022 state title. Not that the record would reflect it in the next four or five years but I think Crosby is going to get very good relatively fast playing in this district similar to CE King's rise simply because of what it's going to take every Friday night just to be "competitive".
