thetragichippy Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago I did a little research.... There are 1207 ISD's in Texas - in recent history 15 have been took over by the TEA - Beaumont TWICE. The school district is basically blaming the parents, I can't count the number of "it starts at home" comments I read last night. While I agree it starts at home, for me, it is difficult to NOT blame BISD when of the 1207 districts, 1192 OTHER districts have not had to be bailed out. So one of two things are true, Beaumont has horrible parents as a whole that does not care about their kids, or BISD has poor leadership and is not doing what it should to make sure the kids get the proper education that the tax payers are paying for.......I'll go with the latter....... tvc184 1 Quote

Probably 15 years ago I heard Bill O’Reilly make a comment about this. His comment was something like, “Sure it should start at home. Yes there are some parents that do not do a good job. Should we simply abandon the children with bad parents?”. baddog and thetragichippy 2 Quote
