Your right. Embarrassing to say the least. Defense just seemed to get worse and worse as the season progressed. Is it bad coaching or is it the players? I guess LP will always be content on winning district titles.

Tonight, I’d say the DC got out coached. Tackling & coverage wasn’t bad. Special Teams were very solid. The O not adjusting left the D on the field almost the entire 2nd half. But, they could’ve held up even then without that 3 man rush stuff I think. Too many gaps for Weiss to attack.

The staff as a whole was outcoached. OC has to adjust when defenses stack the box.  I think they should have let wells come in to give the offense another dynamic.

They played up tempo pretty much all game also. I didn’t see that in their other games I watched. It was fast-paced from the first snap. I bet they didn’t let 10-12 seconds run off the play clock each play the whole game.

I am glad Simon nor Ruffin were seriously injured from their tackling. They were hitting low and high at the same time repeatedly. I thought that was a penalty. It was never called.

It's only a penalty if its done during blocking. A coach i had used to call it a MF'er block lol. It was used more of as an attitude adjustment to an annoying DT. God I love old school football instead of this soft cuddly stuff we watch now.

I’m getting too old. But, yeah. You’re right. It was a penalty when you were already engaged and someone cut you if I recall now. Thanks for the reminder.

Something must’ve happened during halftime because the collapsing after was insane. I don’t think they gave up but either something happened or Weiss truly locked in

Admittedly I turned off the game when La Porte was up several scores in the 2nd. Couldnt believe my eyes when I checked scores this morning!! Tough loss.

I saw where similar happened to Euless Trinity. Up 31-17 & lost. Doesn’t make me feel any better though. LP’s D wasn’t the same this year after losing our DC. With the O LP plays, the D has to be well above average.

Now, I have no excuse not to do chores I need to do, except when the Aggies are playing. Mama still watches them when they’re on national broadcast. So, I get to take a break then. 😂 

Hopefully, see everyone next season! Have to wait and see about realignment.

Great game La Porte. The stadium is the best I've personally been too and the staff was very nice.
