CCRed Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago And….Crosby gives Laporte starting field position on the 45 again. Quote
CCRed Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago Crosby pass deflected for interception, then Laporte fumbles it back again. Quote
CCRed Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago Another 3 and out for Crosby. Punter (Willis) drops snap and gives ball back to Laporte at Crosby 15. Quote
MrFleet23 Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago Sloppy football by both programs. Neither one of them will get far playing like this. OlDawg 1 Quote
OlDawg Posted 15 hours ago Report Posted 15 hours ago Stupid penalty by the freshman after a great pass breakup. Quote
CCRed Posted 15 hours ago Report Posted 15 hours ago Laporte couldn’t stop the Crosby run in the first half, so it only makes sense that Crosby should come out and pass the second half, without much success. Quote

Didn’t see first half. But, game looks sloppy in this half. Quote
CCRed Posted 15 hours ago Report Posted 15 hours ago Crosby spiked ball with 1:20 left was unnecessary. It cost them a down inside the Laporte 25. MrFleet23 and Cougar14.2 1 1 Quote
OlDawg Posted 15 hours ago Report Posted 15 hours ago Hopefully both teams got this out of their systems! Coaches are gonna do some rear end chewing this week. MrFleet23 1 Quote

But, the Crosby kids played their butts off. Nice looking RB & WR. Defense played well. Both offenses looked pretty offensive a lot of the time from what I saw. How many TO’s between the 2 teams? Anybody know? Also, PF’s? Quote

But Laporte didn’t seem to be the team everyone has been hyping about. Crosby didn’t play good and almost got the win. I don’t look for either team to make much noise in the playoffs or even beat Angleton. Unless Angleton is not what they’ve been hyped up to be either. Quote

LP looked downright horrible tonight. Lucky to get out with a win. Not sure what the deal was. I’d say looking ahead to Angleton & taking Crosby for granted. But, that wouldn’t give credit that’s due to Crosby, and I think it’s a cop out anyway. On the positive side, they’ll definitely refocus this week. Every team usually has a week like this they have to fight through. Just looked like both teams happened to have it happen on the same night. Angleton really hasn’t played anyone yet all year. So, we’ll see. All 3 of us have had an easy time these last few games. This game may be just what the doctor ordered for Crosby & LP. Another good thing…I didn’t see any serious injuries. Quote
Texasdude281 Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago I've never seen person criticize a coach more than CCRed. Damn! Go get a degree and find somewhere to coach. Obviously he's done something right during his coach career because he has some hardware to show for it. Where's yours? 🤣 I can assure you that nobody's perfect. easttexiasbias 1 Quote
prepballfan Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago Congrats LaPorte. Indians still rooting for you. Been following up every week since we played. OlDawg 1 Quote

Obviously, you don’t read on hear much over the past 3 years since Willis has been around. I didn’t criticize him near as much as some, they all just quit coming to this site to read. You don’t have to have a degree to see what me and others see. That degree doesn’t pay near enough for me anyway. Quote

Neither team really looked good last night. I don’t know if they both decided to have turnover/penaltyitis/undisciplinitus or what the same game. Watched the game again. Crosby could do no wrong early. Best I’ve seen them play maybe all season. LP looked flat right off the bus, and didn’t really ever get any better. They made just enough plays to win. Ugly win. But—as they say—better than a pretty loss. Sometimes, these type games help the team refocus. Let’s hope that’s the case for both teams. I’d like to see 11-5A represent well in PO’s. Side note: Angleton fans are saying they lost their stellar QB (Duron) to a shoulder injury, and also their excellent receiver. Also hearing Iowa Colony lost their QB to shoulder injury. Hate to see injuries. At least LP & Crosby seemed to come away pretty much unscathed on the injury front. We can be thankful for that. prepballfan 1 Quote
