I understand your stance, and I have seen others say we need to get a dose of communism every now and then to show a new generation how it doesn’t work. My hopes are that it’s survivable. Some of the things Mamdani is suggesting could be catastrophic. The biggest problem is that, when you have a generation or two, who can’t tell you how many dimes in a dollar, they won’t even know what hit them till it’s maybe too late.

I'll admit, I don't have the brilliant political mind that some of the folks on here have, but I need an explanation from someone who understands better than me... All of the liberal outlets I keep hearing and seeing all about how there's a new blue wave and that last night's results are a clear indication that people are fighting back and voting against trump. But all of the results they're pointing to are democrats winning elections in blue strongholds? Were there actually any races where a red area turned blue?  It really feels like a coordinated effort by the "unbiased" media to create some momentum for the left where there isn't any. But admittedly, I might be missing a race or two where the left actually did something surprising.

You are 100% correct.  Blue just remained Blue,   Nothing of significance changed.  But I think the Dems are actually panicking about the islamist/communist take over of NY City.  mandami is now the face of the Democratic party.  It's my understanding that the Republicans are ready to exploit this.  As well as the should!
