Have you read everything and agree with what the R's are all voting yes on? Or is it "we just need to open the government and we'll fix this at that point" lol

It is a clean resolution to keep the Government open....adds nothing

That's what we're being told... you trust what they're saying?

Government shutdown is good right? Saving $ according to those "in the know"

Polls show its the R's fault... Last I seen was somewhere around 40% say R's, 30% say D's the rest say both

Setx forum says Schumer LMAO

Nice academic argument. Worker safety and fair pay? Private sector abused the fire out of their responsibilities. If the fair market is so ‘fair”, why were workers compensation and wage laws necessary? Unions would not have needed to organize were workers not abused mercilessly. Why were product safety laws needed? The invisible hand places profit above all else. If mankind was altruistic, that might work. But we’re not.

We're talking public sector/government civil service sector here. None of what you mention has anything to do with that...as usual. But, you love red herrings, don't you?

No he doesn’t!  Stop being silly!

Sir, I’m afraid he does. He may try to distance himself from it but he owns it.

The defense funding bill — including a military pay raise — fell far short of the 60 votes needed to advance. All but three Democrats opposed the move by Republicans to open debate on the bill. It failed in a 50-44 vote, as many Democrats argued the Senate should instead focus on a deal to end the shutdown.

So the Democrats don't want to fund the Military......That is a great look.....

Remember - Every vote of NO, is a vote not to the end the shutdown......

whether it’s colleges and universities, Jimmy Kimmel, James Comey, John Bolton, Letitia James or random people who merely look like they might be guilty of  an offense.

He did nothing to Kimmel but voice his opinion (free speech right?)

The other folks - either they did it or they didn't......

And if you didn't express outrage when they went after Trump and everyone else, it's really hard to take you seriously.

Should Trump be mad that they threatened to jail his Son for the rest of his life? You have kids? I would absolutely go after anyone who tried to harm my kids......

I moved it to the correct thread.  My apologies again.

lol, sad that someone in law enforcement has bought in to the fear mongering.

The federal government is no one’s savior.

We actually agree with this.

I have no issue expanding Medicare or Medicaid. Let them handle everyone with pre-existing conditions or folks that can't afford private insurance. That is what drove up the cost of private insurances.  Then folks WITHOUT pre-existing conditions could apply with private insurance companies that won't accept pre-existing conditions and have much lower rates.

Now, what do you do with the folks not responsible enough to pay for insurance or simply don't want insurance?
