navydawg31 Posted 19 hours ago Report Posted 19 hours ago Congrats WB! Had bruins winning tonight but not like this at all! Quote
82 5A State Champs Posted 19 hours ago Report Posted 19 hours ago Dang, for Silsbee being a two point favorite, WB proved the experts wrong. Nice win, Bruins! Quote

WB is the 3rd best team in that district behind Lufkin and PAM. The Bruins do have the great equalizer as headcoach. So we'll see how it plays out. Mr. Buddy Garrity and BMTSoulja1 1 1 Quote

Our Sub should be starting at QB, and we will see who can win the ball game. Newton is trying to fill non district, tell your Coach to accept. Quote

AggiesAreWe Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago West Brook big played Silsbee for this win. Of the seven TD's, six were 30+ yards or more, with four being 50+ or more.( includes the 90 yard pick six) Silsbee actually finished the game with almost three times as many first downs as WB. Can't say I have ever seen a game where that stat came with a 35 point loss. Silsbee moved the ball fairly well between the 20's. Just never could get it in the endzone efficiently. West Brook was just too fast on both sides of the ball for the Tigers. I think I may have to attend that WB at PAM game on Oct. 17. Yeoj 1 Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago BTW, I need to correct myself on the all time series between these two teams. I incorrectly posted that Silsbee led the series 2-1 going into this game. The correct record was 3-0 for Silsbee. So this was the first time ever for West Brook to beat Silsbee. Quote

The top two leading tacklers for Silsbee were held out due to injury, ( linebackers) not sure outcome would have been any different, but might have slowed down couple big runs Quote

The pick 6 gave the Silsbee offense the ball right back so they got another possession. Silsbee only had one drive over 30 yds. I'm surprised that Silsbee wasn't explosive yesterday, Good luck to the Tigers the rest of the way. Quote
