rupert3 Posted July 5 Report Posted July 5 Hope it is a good thing. I used to call him Nervous Neris. Quote

Houston sent down RHP Alexander to AAA to make a roster spot for Neris. This is Neris third stint with Houston. He pitched for the Angels and Braves this season. About time the Stros found some relief help. Saying that for a distant relative I've never met. Quote
rupert3 Posted July 6 Report Posted July 6 Well 6-4 win over Dodgers Framber 10-4 pretty good and Hader 24 saves. Stros 12-2 on first place teams baddog 1 Quote
baddog Posted July 6 Author Report Posted July 6 Win the series from the Dodgers. They face Brown tomorrow. Let’s get the sweep. rupert3 1 Quote

I wonder what Orel Hershiser’s excuse is for loss #2? Hmmm...Valdez gave up two homeruns on his curve balls. He had given up two homeruns on curve balls his previous 56 starts (if I remember that correctly)....it's like they knew it was coming. baddog 1 Quote
rupert3 Posted July 6 Report Posted July 6 It didn't do them any good to know though. It's always nice to beat the Dodgers especially there. baddog 1 Quote
baddog Posted July 6 Author Report Posted July 6 Everyone knew Nolan Ryan was coming with a fastball, but he got 7 no-hitters, 12-1 hitters, 18-2 hitters, and 31-3 hitters. 5 of the 1 hitters went to the 9th before being broken up. Amazing how knowing what is coming didn’t hurt Nolan. rupert3 1 Quote

rupert3 Posted July 6 Report Posted July 6 Asinine Pena only Stro picked and is reserve player< Hunter and Hader picked tho. Ahead 5-1 bottom 9 3 hrs so far Quote
baddog Posted July 6 Author Report Posted July 6 All I can say to the Dodgers is….keep on booing Altuve. He has been making you eat that stuff for 3 days. Astros sweep the team with best record in their house. All Astros contributing in the win. rupert3 1 Quote
rupert3 Posted July 6 Report Posted July 6 Outscored them 29-6 Mariners win 1-0 sweep Pirates ao still 7 up 20 over 500 Quote

Keep it going Astros! Even when Altuve makes a foul out, he gets an RBI. Lmao. Quote

baddog Posted July 8 Author Report Posted July 8 Astros bats were sluggish early. Cleveland went from no-hitter to 4 hitter to tie it @ 4 off a 3 run shot by Trammel and a solo shot by Paredes. Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted July 9 Report Posted July 9 Brown finally having a bad outing. He was due one. Quote
rupert3 Posted July 9 Report Posted July 9 11 hours ago, AggiesAreWe said: Brown finally having a bad outing. He was due one. Just another bump in the road for Hunter and Hader. 10-6 on 10th inning Grand Slam. They will recoup. Quote
rupert3 Posted July 10 Report Posted July 10 Cleveland sweeps Stros 4-2 we didn't score until late. Now Rangers. Mariners lose to Yanks again so still 7 up Quote
spidersal Posted July 10 Report Posted July 10 The Astros have been playing good baseball. Brown and the closer had their worst outing the other day. The big problem vs Cleveland is they are not hitting with runners on. Kimmel, Trammell, and Short are good defensive players, however on offense it is like your hitting with 6. Those 3 are basically automatic outs when they come to the plate(most of the time striking out). Just can’t score many runs when they are in the lineup Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted July 10 Report Posted July 10 Just like I predicted. On cue after 3 straight losses. smh rupert3 and baddog 2 Quote
