D- TRAIN D-TRAIN

Recommended Posts

Once again, these guys are tough as nails.  Gonna take one helluva team to beat them.

I left at the half tonight, and they were up 21-0 on Livingston.  Should have been 35-0 though.  The refs blew a def pass interference call to stop one drive.  AJ Dugat retruned an int for a td with 3 seconds left in the half, but it was called back on a personal foul on the return that had nothing at all to do with the return.

Sitting here listening on 99.9, and Dayton is now up 35-0 in the third quarter with about 5 minutes to go in the quarter.

They were all over Livingston's offense.  The ONLY thing that worked was a little straight up the gut action on one drive for Livingston.  If Waller(assuming they win) can use Eddie Brown right up the middle they might could make it close.  I don't see it happening though.  Dayton is an extremely well coached team.

As a Raider fan, I'm really just amused by your lack of originality.

Note - the true connotation of the L-train is not just referrring to the football team, but to an overwhelming entity that has taken over this town - the players, cheerleaders, the Mighty Raider Band, the Raiderettes - AND the unprecedented community support. Joining the L-train is getting into the spirit of it all - it's being able to discuss the upcoming game with anonymous people all over the Golden Triangle area, it's cars all the way down I-10 that are painted red and blue and loaded with fans, it's a tailgate party that rivals a college game, it's a sea of red and blue, sharing your food and your snacks with people you don't even know, high-fiving anyone who's near, it was the whole crowd going crazy during the half-time Thriller dance a few weeks ago, and it continued last night with that final firetruck escort after midnight when we met the team back at the school... So know that when we talk about the L-Train, we are all a part of it... Lumberton fans and all the other fans in surrounding areas/schools who have so graciously supported and encouraged our team. We've ALL been on the ride...

By all means call yourselves whatever you wish, but know that you are making a comparison to something you can't touch...

L-TRAIN

Everything else is just a cheap imitation

Just missin'the whole train, lol, man we've got to give you guys a hard time, just wouldn't be right if we didn't.  By no means, BY NO MEANS, hear me, would I ever put Dayton in the same train as Lumberton.  I can't stand it when I hear it, LTrain, ahhhh! That's your symbol and it's great your town can rally behind it and all that good mushy stuff BUT it's ashame we couldn't TOUCH the LTrain one more time this season.  See ya on the basketball courts!
