I feel like these are a bit premature but I guess I understand

How is it premature?

First storm to come in Tuesday, second more stronger storm coming in Wed. night/Thursday morning. When are these teams suppose to practice for Friday night game?

I get that, but the current track has the remnants of Marco scraping through Orange County and Laura smacking it dead on.

They really can't wait too much longer.

Maybe another day wouldn’t have hurt. The 10 pm update said Laura track shifted 50 miles East and the golden triangle is now on the clean side of things.

That Laura track goes back and forth, last night models had it going into Louisiana, this morning it changed to the area between Galveston and Sabine Pass, now it's back to Louisiana. 

 

Even the track of the other storm changed too.

According to the Beaumont Enterprise, East Chambers/West Rusk has been canceled.

But, they also had Vidor/Silsbee as a cancellation based on Vidor ISD closing the schools this week.

That was not the case as of late this morning. I exchanged messages with Lori Mathews then and she said that the game had at that point had not been cancelled.
