All schools in the inter city of Houston should be a 6A School . That's just my opinion. Kids from all over are allowed to go to what ever school they want in the inter City.

No they're not.  All of the schools may be open enrollment but they still have attendance zones, in which the students have to live in order to not be considered a transfer student.  Transfer students have to sit one calendar year from the date of enrollment in order to participate in UIL activities (varsity).

You do realize that pretty much every school in the state is open enrollment, right?  For funding reasons... By the way.  These other schools (pretty much all of them) also have the right to be selective on which out of district students they allow.  Usually because of test scores or discipline.. but still.  Schools get funding based on test scores, too.  Is it fair that a school only allows an out of district transfer if they're going to have passing test scores?  Because they do..

The comment the HJ Coach made (Probably have to go recruit some players,” said ClayDavis on preparing for Yates) was very disrespectful toward Coach Wise. I have never heard Coach Wise disrespect any coach after a loss. This is my personal opinion

I'm on the fence with the whole recruiting issue. However, I can say if you're going to do some of the things Yates has supposedly done, don't get upset when Yates gets criticized for it.

Adams played for Silsbee Middle school his 8th grade year. I personally watched him play.

He may have played for Vincent his 7th grade year, but he played with McCain at Silsbee his 8th grade year.

This is true. I also saw those 8th grade kids play together at Silsbee. Adams was there playing with the Tigers.

Well, UIL has things in place to prove if true recruiting is going on.  They also have ways that you can easily blow the whistle if you see it. Remember, it wasn't long ago that one of the coaches for Nederland blew the whistle for Central's 7' African kid.  🤷🏾‍♂️

Yep. As it should be. There is a reason private schools and Prep schools were created. Maybe Yates should apply to be one of those schools. Do that, and we aren’t having this conversation (again). It’s been going on for 10 years now, and the UIL isn’t doing their job at stopping Yates from basically cheating.

Many others saw them play as well.

Heck, it was coaches from other schools that told me to go check out Silsbee 8th grade when Adams and McCain were there.

So what you are saying is that because Yates losses players to other schools it is deemed necessary (and ok and expected) for Yates to seek other players from other schools. Correct?

Not saying that ... im saying it pretty much balances out .. nobody brings this up when they lose , ( nobody says yates  lost because Tyrone went from Cullen to Strake , or they lost because Deandre Jordan decided to attend a prep school etc ...) and Are u saying that they should continue to get raided and  just do nothing  ... if Schools are legally finding loopholes to snag ur schools players .. wouldn’t u want ur school to do the same ?

H.J best player transferred from BU...Clay full of himself...He is running an AAU program at his high school that funnels player to H.J...Nobody and I mean nobody should feel sorry for Clay...When you got the UIL in your back pocket there is no need to worry about anything...

If you would stick to one identity on this board, you would be much better off.

Why have u note mentioned the HJ “Recruit” that played all season long?

I don’t know much about that situation. But from what I hear HJ may have one transfer playing on the team. Just because you get a transfer does not mean you’ve been actively recruiting. But when you get multiple transfers that definitely raises a red flag. 4 or 5 transfers is definitely worth a conversation and since we’ve been having the conversation the people who call themselves defending these recruiters haven’t really claimed they’re not recruiting. In fact they have said things like “this coach has been knowing these players for years” and “they’d rather play for this coach than anyone else” which sounds like recruitment to me lol. Then they try to defend it by saying other coaches have done it also which verry well may be true but if so it’s done on a smaller scale and less obvious. That’s why those situations don’t get discussed much. They’re normal and may be innocent transfers. Even if they aren’t they’re less obvious

For "not caring whats happening in the realm of basketball around here", you have certainly offered a substantial multitude of opinions on it.

    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
    • See why I don't trust my Hogs?
    • Come on dude, don’t take anything away from the kids on the field. If you want to talk uncharacteristic, we made what 3 or 4 errors in game one. Y’all had 2 EARNED runs.  Defense is normally our strong suit. Your ace didn’t strike out a single one of our kids. Like I said also, you did not out hit us in game 1. Hell you barley out hit us in game 2. We had all the uncharacteristic walks. Josh pitched a hell of a game is what made that game what it was.
