Here is the deal with BMT Gold

We were told that the Games had been delayed for 30 minutes and the game was pushed back to 230pm, everybody started to show up a little after 2pm, we had parents having trouble due to rain getting from orangefield to WOS and from BMT.. it was all just bad communication and tough for the kids.. we were also told that Ned W and Ned G both forfeit  because they didn't have all 11 for either team per board members that was at WOS. They were saying we couldn't give each team a grace period to get there because they didn't do it for each NED team..

We had an "so-say" opportunity to play the game but the HC from the white team was inconsistent with his word on playing us so we won't play.. 

Good luck to everybody and ill be rooting for BMT W to win it all! Yall safe in the weather this weekend! 

Ned Gold did forfeit. Ned White had 16 players there out in the rain that got counted by the stjfl rep.

I for one think we have to look at the league policy again when dealing with weather at the end of the day these or kids but rules are rules just hate to see it happen like that great season BMT-G #salute

That's cool... but we shall see how things work out for next year... I wonder why they changed the bracket... the way it was scheduled was the winner out of PA was to play the winner out bmt w and bmt gold.. but now it's bmt w vs Ned w?????? Had anyone heard or saw the changes made?

Ned W was the 2 seed and put in the bracket as a 4 seed. It was fixed last week. The way it was going to work out if higher seeds advanced was Ned W was going to play BMT-G.

Unfortunately the kids miss out due to adults mishaps and decisions. The best teams should advance do to play and not technicalities, especially against teams from the same organization. Rules are rules I guess. JMO

There should be a rematch for Bmt Flag G and Bmt Flag W being that there were extenuating circumstances that led to this. When flooding, delayed games, lack of communication & incorrect info given are in play.....that should be taken into account when deciding on forfeit or reschedule, especially when this is the playoffs. Whoever made this decision....shame on them.

Actually I have......Which is why I stand firm on my belief that it should have been played on Sunday or during the week as was previously discussed.

Why was the other BMT team there coming from the same town? Sounds like in issue within the team of miscommunication. But as far as using the weather as an excuse....the kids from the same town made it on time.

also no games were delayed and all instuctions were to arrive at the scheduled game time and prespresent a minimum of 11 players ready to play. Bmt W did that so they get to advance.
