eagleswoodville#1 Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 Maybe in 4A. But I think DFW and Houston have the 5A and 6A classes pretty well locked. Quote
cowboysfan88 Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 DFW ain't as tough as the Houston region in my opinion Quote
RaiderRed30 Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 Looks like region 3 6a-4a for playoffs is the murder region 6A is Region I. No question5A is Region III.4A is a toss up between Region I and III Quote

Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 how 6a region l. (NO question)when you have more teams in the top 25 out of Other Regions cause the rankings dont matter come playoff time??? Octfeb and Woodshed 2 Quote
RaiderRed30 Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 how 6a region l. (NO question)when you have more teams in the top 25 out of Other Regions There are 9 ranked teams in Region III and 7 in Region I. Out of those 7, six have won multiple state championships including the 3 time defending D1 Champ and back to back D2 Champ. Plus outside of the ranked teams Region I is deeper and more talented. There is not one district like there is with Houston ISD, where only one team has a chance of winning the first round. There is also the travel issue. To win in this region you are going to have to travel. Region III is entirely Houston except West Brook and Memorial. Finally the community, Region I is made up of communities that will travel better than anywhere else in the country. When it comes to the playoffs Region I will outmuscle any other region. Uncle Pig Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 are you outta your mind?? Check out the state champs in 5a 6a the past decade and tell me where most of them have come from. Quote

RaiderRed30 Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 all of Houston is not region 3......Back to Back 6a DII Champ came out of region 2Yes, but all of Region III is Houston. The farthest a team has to travel is 100 miles. Compared to 400+ for Region I. And Cedar Hill is in District 8, ie Region I. Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote

cowboysfan88 Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 State champs for the past decade have been spreaded but mostly either region 1 or 3 like I said region is the toughest to get out of more than likely if a team make it past regionals finals in this region plays in the state championship game Quote
RaiderRed30 Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 (edited) That's not because it's tougher. That's because there is absolutely no teams in Region 4 outside of Steele and Judson. Absolutely none. Since you also mentioned state champions; in the past 10 years, teams from Region I currently have won 14 state championships. Region III have won 4. bronco pride Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 Will CP even be tested this year. Barring some major upset in a rain soaked turnover plagued game I just don't see them getting beat come playoff time. Quote

According to rankings Region III would have more, but Region I would still be deeper. From teams 10-32 Region I is deeper than anyone else. That makes a difference. Quote

That region for D2 is about as nasty as it gets. I think several schools from that region are legitimate title contenders. Going to be a very good team going home second round. One4All 1 Quote
