New Faces on Field for Silsbee

I heard Silsbee has a few new faces on the field this year. Anyone know who they are and what positions they are playing?

This could be one of the better groups for Silsbee. As far as I know they only are missing a couple of players from last year who should be there. One of them is injury related.

Maroon 4 - There is another face at Silsbee who will contribute. HE came here last spring from Sanger or some place. I think his name is Heath Jones.

What position will Heath Jones play? Silsbee should be very strong if their QB can get the ball to those big wrs. With Barnes at 6'2 and Harris at 6'3, they have some size.

Silsbee also got a pretty good sized OL from Kountze who should contribute and has potential. And he is only a Soph.

It would be nice to see Silsbee go 12-2. I don't see them beating Jasper but the rest of the games they could win. If jthey can beat Henderson in the 1st round of the playoff you never know what can happen.

Badsanta, don't forget the top receiver in Mackey he's 6'2". Watching Sat. practice this is the tallest WR core I can remember at Silsbee, with plenty of speed also. With Partain not playing this year Thomas will have to get his passing game down, he looked better Sat. Defense was good speed and quick to the ball. Will be a fun year watching the Tigers.This is still a young group, but this year there is some experience. Should win more games this year. Go Tigers!!!

Mackey has hands like glue how could I forget him. Silsbee should do well for sure. I hope the QB can get the ball to them

Silsbee will beat WOS

I do believe Silsbee will be improved and I expect the game to be much closer this year. But last year I felt Silsbee was down much further than I've seen them since the drop to 3A. And I'm seriously not trying to knock them at all, just an honest opinion. They will need to make some vast improvements to get back up there with Jasper and WOS. I will say this, I know they have talent in the school and I've seen what went thru their Middle School. If some of those kids are still playing I expect they will turn it around.

You should just hope Silsbee gets  in the endzone. Last two years combine score 62-0. I know Silsbee has improved but beat WOS I doubt it
