PN-G's Morse sets single game passing record

Morse requested 17 and he did it to honor Long. Back in Dustin's time they didn't throw the ball nearly as much. 50/50 run and pass.

Actually if you go back and look over the BF era PNG has been pretty even run/pass. Biggest difference is the amount of plays. No huddle versus a huddle back in the Long days. He and the RBs had less attempts per game.

True, also when you have a monster like Bo Wortham to hand the ball to and a good defense there will be less plays. Burnett liked ball control and using the clock.

Actually I think we might see a glimpse of what he coulda done with Morse. If the line keeps him upright Adam will hold most PNG passing records by the time he graduates.

Yeah he is good he basically carved up that clear lake secondary

The key will be that O line keeping him healthy. He took a hit Friday and was slow to get up. You can see it in the Highlights.Rain didn't help either. WOS will be a better test.

Dustin Long had such a great running game with the tandem of Wortham and Little Jeff Bergeron they would run that deadly little option pitch down the line and kill defense. Watch the last two min drive when Long and company had to score in the last two mins to beat Schertze Clemens. You see the pitch out to Wortham and the accuracy of Longs cannon of a arm.
