skipmeister Posted May 20, 2014 Report Posted May 20, 2014 Their games will be either played at their old stadium or at a neutral site! Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted May 20, 2014 Report Posted May 20, 2014 They will play in Plano, that will be interesting. Quote
tennisbc Posted May 20, 2014 Report Posted May 20, 2014 It was stated on this forum that the contractor had never built a football stadium before. You get what you pay for. I too feel sorry for the seniors and the community that cannot use the stadium. Has there been no update on the solution to this problem or is the investigation still ongoing? Look for finger pointing and blaming to be brought out as the official report is forthcoming. Lawsuits possible and $$$ to correct the problems. I too hope the entire or most of the stadium does not have to come down. Such a waste and a shame for all parties involved. Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
jordibug15 Posted May 20, 2014 Report Posted May 20, 2014 I hate this. I was going to go stay with my cousins one weekend and go to one of the games at the stadium Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted May 20, 2014 Report Posted May 20, 2014 Heck it might end up costing about the same to fix it as it was to build it in the first place if they're not careful. Quote
liltex Posted May 21, 2014 Report Posted May 21, 2014 This has in-laws construction co.written all over it  Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
UGK Posted May 21, 2014 Report Posted May 21, 2014 60 million just doesn't buy what it used to! Quote
Smokin Baby Posted May 21, 2014 Report Posted May 21, 2014 This has in-laws construction co.written all over it  Exactly what I was thinking. That or a Dayton contractor. LOL Quote
Stanger Posted May 22, 2014 Report Posted May 22, 2014 LOL. why go with contractor who's never built a stadium, much less one that big?? yep, in-laws written allll over it Quote
Peppermint Patty Posted May 22, 2014 Report Posted May 22, 2014 I can fix it on the cheap. Just need a little spackle and epoxy. . Englebert 1 Quote
tennisbc Posted May 22, 2014 Report Posted May 22, 2014 I agree with you Stanger, several articles stated they have taking on big build jobs but not a stadium. Even if they were the lowest bidder, Allen should have done better research. 60 million of tax payers money is to much to waste because of bad decisions. I wonder if pink slips might be given out when the dust settles on this issue? Quote

tennisbc Posted May 22, 2014 Report Posted May 22, 2014 For 60 million and however much it cost for repairs, lawers, lawsuits, and court time. Someone might be getting a pink slip or a demotion when this is finished. I have not heard of any resolution time or how far along they are in the final report. Anyone have a update on that issue?
