1.

Perhaps the Central fans are not on here celebrating making the quarterfinals and being CO-champs of the district....They KNOW that its really not that big of a deal...perhaps... ::)
That might be because other than Soulja there are no other Central fans on this site!!! ::) ::) ::)
I resent that.... Jaguars all day!
2. :oThe strangest thing that I hacve ever saw.... Someoen stay in a box and 1 for 3 1/2 quaters.  Box an 1 is a situational defense that you play in moderation, it is NOT a defense you use for an entire game.  WWWAAAYYY too many holes, both on the wings and in the post.  Last night Central got abused on the wings with a baradge of 3-pointers.  They went to man for the final 6 minutes and CE King could not score.  I also have an issue going box and 1 on a skinny 5'8" guard without exceptional leaping skills.  Either play 2-3 to kill his drives or help-side man to address his shooting.  LASTLY, HAVE THESE KIDS BEEN TAUGHT HOW TO BREAK A PRESS???[i]I don't think so[i] On a lighter note I am amazed at the kids natural abilities and understanding of the game and passing lanes.  Once in a set they back cut and find the open man really well.  Kristian is super aggressive, I wish it would catch fire in the other kids.  This team will lose BIG rto a team with an above average press.  Bad part about that, is they are talented enough, but not trained enough to break the press.  Ozen has at least three true point guards, must be nice!
3. I wish he would stay... he will be MUCH better next year.  His problem isn't skill, its understanding the game, and you can only learn that being in games.  The more games he plays, the better he will be!
4. You really cant count on the Canadian staying... They leave even when they arent ready, see Joseph and Avery!  So Gibbs REALLY needs to step up!  I hope Jevon Felix is ready to play!
5. I guess since Central has gone 2-1 against Ned he feels like the tie breaker has alreadey been played.  Playing again and Ned wins then that just mean they are truly (not district) still tied... But if Central wins again then it will be 3-1 and dominant in the series.  Either way, it seems that you dont get a true resolve!  So I vote "no play" and pick up a meaningful harm up game.
6. However, If Mike and Brown stay for next year and McClellan and Holmes improve.... They will be pretty darn good!
7. It should be far and in-between when Texas loses a Big In-State recruit. Imagine a Perry Jones, Tristen Thomas front court last year.  And I think he is too against JUNCO recruits.  There were a few good Junco Bigs last year and Barnes did not even look twice to fill his void in the middle.
8. Its funny Texas went from needing guards to needing Bigs... I think it is failed recruiting by Barnes.  He doesnt recruit enough role players that will give him 3 to 4 years so that he would alway have veterans.  Also, he is losing  on the top in-State recruits. 2010 Perry Jones & Phil Pressy (initially gave UT a verbal) , 2011 LeBryant Nash, 2012 its Isaiah Austin & Marcus Smart
9. And we have seen coaches come in and be successful with the previous regimes players... Then the players graduate and the coaching with  them.... Subsquent teams have failed!
10.

I am late to this topic... But the ONLY reason the the BMT schools would not still run the district, coaching.  Yeah, I said it!  Sorry to say, but the truth hurts!  I still wonder if Silsbee maintains there success once the new coach has a team that is all his?
Explain.
We have all seen teams rise and fall due to coaching changes, Silsbee included.  Similar to when Green left Central, Boutte left Ozen, and Gambl leaving PA the second time!

12. Steele isa running team which is memorials defensive strength. But they are well  and make no mistakes!
13. 35 and 6 and 7 in the second game... Putting up Kemba Walker numbers!
14. Bronco p central has been just as good in the playoffs minus one State appearance by Dayton
15. These are kids, full of energy, they don't need rest.  This is not a 16 ganmes season against the best athletes in the world, it is emphatically HIGH SCHOOL football!
16. He was winning with kids Stowers coached... These are kids that learned only under him!
17.
People are out of work and hurting. Even the ones that do work are paying more for essentials like food. Gas prices remain high after promises to get them down. A few days of good stocks or other gains won't help unless there is a corresponding large drop in unemployment and communities not being on the verge of bankruptcy. The American economy will always turn around no matter who is in office as long as we keep the free enterprise system.
Double Speak, anyone?
18. The eye formation helps alot when the blocking is subpar.  It is much more simple and everything is going down hill.  The line is not horrible but the zone read develops slowly and has alot of east to west movement. Think about it, if a back is running towards the line to recieve the ball his moimentum will cut 3 - 4 seconds off of a back that is sitting still 5 yards deep waiting to see if he will get the ball or will it be pulled out! Passing to open the run is a backwards tactic, it should always be the other way around!
19. It has been stated that most can adjust there income enough through tax cuts to only pay roughly 15%, right?  When Regan cut taxes they fell from 70% to 28%.  I think they are recieving a fair shke right now in comparison, you?
20. Trust me when I say Mobil was not failing when it merged with Exxon, Texaco was not failing when it merged with Cheveron, Cingular was not failing when it merged with AT&T, Nextel was not failing when it was merged with Sprint!  Some companies get brought out or hostile taken over because they have a lot of liquid money and lok very attractive.  Yes mergers happen the other way too, nut most mergers are not to save or obtain the customers from a failing position. Gates and Jobs were both from upper middle class families so yes the money was there for both private grade schools and college tuition.  I agree that some have-nots get grant money but most don't (plenty of white have nots out there with no grant money & Pell Grants are not pulled from a bottomless pit)!  Like I said I assumed NO government assistance out side of grade school education.  By the way high risk is high reward if you have the capital to take the risk go for it!
21. Productivity is relative… Who is more productive, the steel worker that frames 300 cars a week for $20 and hour or the owner of the car manufacturing factory earning 10 million?  Probably the steel worker!  There will always be a need for someone to do the heavy lifting if the Bill Gates is to make the product for the profit. I assumed that this scenario was in some kind of a box with a controlled environment. I assumed that it was capitalist by its purest definition. I figured also that the have-nots would not have any Government support since that is not Capitalist, which would force the self preservation gene to kick!  I also assumed the haves have their education and skills which gives them an advantage. In my Model Bill Gates and Steve Jobs would still prevail because of there knowledge. I also assumed that they would not be regulated so monopolies are bound to occur.  Let’s say 2 power house companies instead of one. Pure Capitalism subjects this system to move towards survival of the strongest/richest and to heck with everyone else!! By the way there are plenty of Jobs lost in every merger!
22. What is this "evil ones" talk?  That is a ridiculous over statement.  Give me 150 construction hands, tire techs, Wal-Mart stockers (have nots), And I promise you the rich suckers could not out work them.  You forget that alot of have-nots work strenuous jobs that just don't pay!  What the haves may do is organize the half-nots to work for haves. A small handful (maybe 10) of the haves would be superior in marketing plus be very influential and eventually the rest of the haves would be have-somes, half-few, & have-nots.  Then they all would work for “The Man” at some capacity.  10 companies would eventual end up at 1 because there would be no regulations to stop the monopoly, eventually putting the majority of the half-nots out of work and moving the have-few and have-somes into their jobs. Capitalism at its finest!
