I totally agree. If PAM cannot find a better coach than that, then they have extreme problems. There are hundreds of coaches that are much more qualified that would work out better than him.
Better coach??? He has had success on the floor everywhere he coached; other contraversy outside of coaching and over agressive job switching may have been his only issues! Hey, some people will have their opinion about him regardless of lack of evidence to stand on.
 2. Dont like it one bit! Wish it would have been Mike Brown.... Our defense is shabby!
 3.

Could it be Walter Yates!
That would be hard to do without a teaching certification. ;)
I dont think he has been banned from renewing his certification!!!
 4.
Its not C. RICE. But a well-known coach will emerge in the news. Another hint: his wife is a math teacher.
Rice says he doesnt want to coach!
 5. With the lost of the core or the team it is looking might suspect for the Horns... Brown is the only returning impact player and should be the leading scorer.  Here is how it may look! Wangmene... Defensive guy that will be a liability on offense Holmes....  really unpolished guy that wants to be a 3, but plays with alot of energy McClellan...  BIG guard that is an athletic slasher Brown... By far the leading scorer next year and could carry this team to the tourny Kabongo... Pass first guard that will make BROWNS STATS EXPLODE. But will probably have to carry a great deal of the scoring load First off the bench Lewis... Will play PG/SG and will be there to score! Chapman... Will be an old guy playing hard nose center minutes, hopefully???? Thomas... Will have to play BIG minutes but I don't think he is ready and he is only 6'7"! This will be a team carried by guard play.  The biggest prayer is if DeAndre Daniels signs with UT... He could start at the 3 making the team biger!
 6. Could we see a Bulls/Mavericks final?  That would be a BIG let down!
 7. If McClellan and Lewis can score off the Bench that would make up for inside play but I dont see Texas higher than #3 in the Big 12 and maybe the bottom of the Top 25 nationally.  A&M or kansas will win the conference next year with the dark horse being OKState
 8. Joseph might stay in but I doubt it.  Stay in for the 2nd round would not be intellegent.  If so though UT front court would be hurt the most.  Nobody will be ready to take on the college world with force. It is looking like a really potent 3-guard line up though.  Kinda Villinova style with Joseph, Brown, Kabongo! Wingmene/Chapman/Thomas/Holmes front court would be athletic but the production won't be there!  If they can sign DeAndre Daniels, it would be a BIG boost!
 9.

6-7 Brazier and 6-8 Brown are on the roster for sure next year. I think 6-11 Osas and 6-7 Harris will not back next year so they do need a few more big guys, even if they aren't great players.
You can't train height ;D
but sometgimes height is un-trained.... Can you say Shagari Alleyne?!?!?!?!?!
 10. We will see! I do agree money is a BIG deal and being a "money" will help alot.  Most moves are because of success as well, but there are few examples out there where money does it all.
 11. Pat Knight has as much of a chance to be a great coach in the Southland as anybody.  His recruiting will help.  All he would have to do is get some McNeese, Sam, Western Kentucy, Tennesse State, La Tech, etc. players to come to BMT.  The guy is a decent basketball coach, he just wasnt the best recruiter for the Big 12.  I think he will be able to recruit on this level.  He often had great 2nd games each season against the better schools in the big twelve which shoes he can read film and make adjustments! He needs to get a young go getter assistant with ties to San Antonio, Houston, & Dallas to go get those kids leaving Texas to go play for othe Lamar-type schools! I see the Pettway kid going to Texas now but we will see!
 12. What is this inane belief that Lamar will move up to a bigger conference. Do you guys not know that football is the main driver to promotion to a new league?  We would have to dominate for the next 10 years to get a nod to move up.  I am sure our baseball, tennis, and golf success will help at that point but really McNeesen SFA, & Sam Houston have a way better chance to get called up first!
 13.

...and in an unexpected move Tidwell names Tom Abatemarco the new HC at Lamar!!  (Sorry UNLV, couldn't resist.)
50:1 odds he tells us all it's a big joke and keeps Roccaforte on as head coach...any takers?
I am in even though my money is looking shakey!! He has been known to pull some bull!
 14. Forget Hamilton, let him go, I want Thompson to stay at least one more year!  Texas will be DEEP and GOOD next year if he does!
 15. Why?  guess since there is no Silsbee, there is no basketball!  ::)
 16. Tennessee is not a bad lose, those kids were rolling before Pearls suspension. And they beat Villanova too!  UT lost both of its games to the Big EASt.  And a 7 point loss to a 15-10 (SEC) team and a 17 point loss to a 13-12 (PAC-10) team are not equal!  The SEC has three ranked teams and the PAC-10 has 1 but has had zero for many part of the season!!!!  I love my longhorns but the 3 loss Horns should not be ranked above Pitt or OSU!  Eventhough I believe they re currently better than both of those teams! Only the tourney will tell!
 17. I am a Texas fan but the rankings are all wrong. It should be Ohio state Pitt Texas We still have a bad lose (USC). Pitt and OSU don't have any bad loses.
 18.
I really think he is. He will be similar to ray Allen. He is a great shoote,r finally learned how to play without the ball, and play within the offense. He is no longer a ball stopper in the offense. He isn't a great defender but is not bad. Very few in the NBA are. I just don't think another year in college is going to help his draft stock much at all...
Dont get me wrong, he should jump while the buzz is there.  He is not on Ray Allen level though! His handle is way too trash to be put there.  His defense and his ability to catch and soot makes him a pro!  I think he will not be a major contributor for at least 2-3 more years though!
 19.
Hamilton is nowhere near N.B.A ready
Im glad you know basketball!
