1. Oakhill opennly recruits, they would hav no part with Stevie if he wasn't a 6'7" stud!
2. The funny thing is how this game is being judged by the HJ HOOPrameter!!! When Central played HJ they had a different rotation.  Correct me if I am wrong, the Freshmen and Sophmore begin the assention into starting and supporting roles.  It is funny to say youngsters have made a difference, but they have.  I do not think this is the same Central team that lost to HJ back in November.  The learning curve for young players is exponential and I bet they are waaayyyy better now!
3. Nash, can you let it go... time to move on!
4.
You should go to the Travis/NS game.  You run your blood pressure up these days at Central games.  I can imagine how animated you would be at a 3rd round Central Playoff game.  ;D ;D
That is the same way I feel!
5. Stevie Jackson was recruited... To go to Oakhill!!!! That was recruiting.  The West Side of PA is the hood and most of the kids on the West Side go went to lincoln.  Back in the 80's and early 90's TJ was nearly 50-50 on its minority to majority ratios. Once Gamble became the coach, it was all about PA Lincoln and winning. Gamble is not a recruiter and neither was Boutte.  Ozen BBall was big because it was a new school.  You see the kids starting to flood back to central & Westbrook now that the new school nostalgia is gone!
6. Though I am a Jag fan, I know live in Baytown.  I have a chance to watch Central & Kingwood Park or 5A #2 Fortbend Travis vs 5A #7 Northshore and David Green!  What should I do?????
7. And don't Box and 1 the TEAM!  Because it is a TEAM!!! Can we go man with a mixture of 3-2? or 1-3-1?
8.

If Ozen shows up and gets off the bus, they will beat Nederland.... ::)
hahahhahahahahahahahahahhahahahahaha
Good come back!
9. Yeah DV I dont think Wifey is playing that one, and you would confuse the kids!  I can see her going off now.  I seen you around the ladies and I dont think Steve is pretty enough to catch your eye. lol. I guess people are mad at you for stating your opinion too strongly.  Honestly, I know we have no state bound teams in SETX and I question Nederlands overall ceiling too.  Its the tone of you voice DV... Like the women say, it aint what you say, it's how you say it! lol.. I did not think that counted with men.
10. Steve, DV are you guys following each other from thread to thread?
11. I think Ozen is on a roll, beat Ned by 11 at the end of the season.  But they can be Dr. Jeckle and Mr Hyde!!! Ozen by 10!
12. I feel that!  I thought it was funny, they are like a group of brothers... The oldest one is always picking, the middle one loves to fight and the youngest just put his two cent in against the Big one cause he can't beat him!  Jags in the HOUSE!
13. No way... I just don't see it.  I think the Jags keep rolling bad coaching and all until they get drug by Yates!!! I predict Jags by 7 the Yates by 100!
14. WOW WOS... That was gangsta!!! I dont think it was REALLY that BIG of an issue! Everybody run to your cubby holes, here comes the long arm of the Moderator!
15.

Call it a miniature farm system if you like.  The fact is that in a place like HJ, there is a relatively small population from which to draw potential players and it is one way to get kids interested in the game.  Please don't be foolish enough to try to say/infer that the HJ/Silsbee/HF/Orangefield coach has an advantage on a Yates coach when it comes to selecting potential playing personnel.
The "selection" for the Yates coach begins when they hit the campus in the 9th grade...NOT as elementary aged kids, as it is in some rural areas...Little Dribblers, if ran correctly, gives a high school basketball program a really good advantage...There is no such entity in Houston...Kids can PLAY little dribblers, but the local coaches have NO CLUE as to where these kids live or where they will attend school...its an advantage, Nash...
Nick Wise does not have to recruit... His record says it all... He has been a winner in Houston and everybody knows it.  If you have a kid thatg is focussed on BBALL and is strong enough to avoid peer issues and succed in the classroom.... I would send mine there too!  Now if my kid ias a weak minded follower, he goes to Pearland!
No, NIC Wise does not...(Thats Greg's son) ;D ;D...But Greg does not either, you're correct! 8)
Thanks for the correction... i get all caught up in the Wises!! lol
16. No we don't whine Nash, but it is pretty fun.. And trust me whe I tell you DV is not whinning... He is at his computer with the biggest grin, trying to work yall up!

18. SO DV????? aint this the Ned vs. Mag thread... Start a TX Southern and Ronnie thread with Nash and Bulldog on the college board!
19. I don't think it is criticizing, more like antagonizing... And you fall for it all the time.. i do it to you on the political board.. It's sports... The foundation of it is all about talking noise! Don’t go to a Philly vs. Cowboys game, you would be real sick… Philly fans talk about the Cowboys like they never won anything!
20. I am a Jag fan, and I know this, there is NO 20-4A team that will beat nor compete with Yates.  I am so glad that Ned is having a LTrain (football) type run in district over the last two years, but Ned don't get too caught up in it, because we have all had fall to earth experiences (Central & Ozen Included). I do agrre with Dickie, that district Champs only matter in District, who won 24-4A last year?  Exactly!  It is relevant for local talk, but as far as State wide is concerned it is pretty much nothing. In contrast, I think us as fans must fully enjoy every accomplishment no matter how small. So congrats to 20-4A for having the opportunity to put at least one team in the regional tournament... maybe TWO!!!!!  Go Jags!
