1.
I killed an 8 point this morning. I slipped an arrow through both lungs at 20 yards. He ran about 50 yards and piled up dead. He weighed in at 204 on the hoof and 168 gutted. Not a trophy with only 125 inches of horns but a good sized deer.
I dont know where your hunting, apparently not in South East Texas. A field dressed 168lb 8 point, scoring in at 125 inches is by most standards a trophy in most of the state. Not to mention some pretty meaty back straps!!! ;)
 2.

Liberty with a Cleveland loss. ;D
The only way liberty is in is IF Liberty beats Coldspring and Cleveland loses to Tarkington. Cleveland could lose and Liberty is still not in do to the fact that Cleveland beat Liberty ;D
I believe thats what I said, just a shorter version. The TOPIC is 'Win,and your in'. A Liberty win and a Cleveland loss puts Liberty in the playoffs because they currently have the same district record.Of course the probability of this scenario is astronomical.
 3. Liberty may be losing a head coach and hopefully gaining some respect.
 4. Almost took out a nice size doe with my truck, she was crossing near Remington Place on FM 1008. ::)

Does anyone know?
If he is still alive I don't know but think I would have heard of his passing.  Last I knew, he owned a Barbaque restuarant in Fredickburg Tx.  Ate the in the mid 80's and he had some memorbilia in the store and the food was good.  He had retired from a career with Imperial Sugar and had spent a good deal of time in California with the company before retiring in Texas.  I don't know if you can lookup old articles on SI but that is worth anybody's time who likes Texas HS football.
This is probably the article you are referring to: [Hidden Content]
That is it my friend and I had found it a little while ago, read again and was about to post it on here.  Thanks for doing so and I hope all you HS football junkies, young and old will read it.  And yes, there really were some good athletes "back in the day" who could play the game.  They all just don't play now!
Ken Hall is still alive at 75 years young and still considered the Greatest High School Player of all time,
What good would it do North Shore to play BH? It's a "no win" situation. If they win, they were supposed to. If by some miracle they lose, then they got problems, big problems. There are plenty of good 4A's around here to give yourself some competition:  Manvel, Dawson, Friendswood, Brenham, Stratford. Don't let one 10-0 season impair your judgement.
they were 10-0 on 06 it impaired their judgement then to. They have a very heavy senior class talent wise remind me of 07 lumberton. I think they will have alot of trouble wining games next year against any competition
Dont take me so seriously, there is no way I'd like to see BH lose to North Shore or the U of H or that matter,I was trying to make a point.BH doesnt need to play 5a schools at all, good or bad.But they do need to play good 4a schools.
This is a forum of learn-ed doctors. We take everything seriously.
8)
 8. Cleveland can lose this game but still makes it to the playoffs with a Liberty loss. However if Cleveland looses and Liberty upsets Coldspring (highly unlikely)then Liberty gets the 3rd spot.   Tarkington hasnt won a game all year and would love to put a win in the win column and knock out their 'crosstown rivals',they will be giving it their all. What do ya'll think about it?

 10. Maybe add another playoff team to 3AAA that way Liberty could go to the playoffs!!! :o
 11.

I heard their enrollment was down this year but will check.
Doesn't matter. The enrollments for last realignment count for 2 years. Henderson is largest school in their district, they go DI.
It really doesnt matter,I dont think Henderson is going to make it to state anyway. Thanks for the INFO.
 12. I heard their enrollment was down this year but will check.
 13. Chapel Hill is really looking good in D1 and Carthage would very much like to go at Henderson again(its possible)in D2,but you gotta like the home boys Coldspring for D2
 14. I would like to see BH whoop on Sterling,or try their luck at North Shore.Getting a 5A team in predistrict would be great.
 15. From a 3AAA follower looking at you 'big dogs' I would have to go with BH in this one,not beacause of the record but because of the way they've played week after week.I have seen nothing but improvement on the BH side. PNG struggled against Vidor who is a good football team but Vidor doesnt have the defense BH has.PNG is going to have to score more than 2 Tds to win and only Dayton has done that this year,as a matter of fact no team has even scored 2 Td's against them this year except Dayton.BH will score at least 3 Tds and controll the tempo of the game.Good luck to all.   Barbers Hill 24 PNG 10
 16.

As a Liberty fan who regularly trolls this forum (and rarely posts) it's disappointing to see all the hate towards Liberty and it's fans.  I completely understand this angst because there certainly were several knuckle head Liberty fans who spouted huge smack earlier in the year. The fact that Cleveland beat us last night was not a surprise although I have to admit the way in which we lost was surprising (we were up 20-0 in the third quarter for crying out loud!).  Anyway, the district turned out as I expected.  Congrats to Coldspring, Huffman, and Cleveland, I hope you guys go far in the playoffs!
I thought the top 4 teams in district made the playoffs [/quote Only in 4a and 5a.
 17. The only time they beat our secondary is when we put the second string in.Yep he's bitter ;)
 18.
A team than can throw the ball will torch BH. Their front 6-7 are pretty darn good. Not sold on their  secondary.
How can you say that after butt woopin ya'll took last night?
 19. If ya'll say you've not seen any posts from a Liberty fan since they've lost then you dont read all the posts.I posted during the game, after the game and am still posting. You may not recognize my posts because they are the more intelligent ones. This is what separates me from the Deel kool-aid drinkers. I dont trash talk,Im a realist.Other Liberty Fans dont like me because Im a realist.Preseason I stated that Liberty would be lucky to make the playoffs and that it would come down to Liberty,Cleveland,or Shepard for third.I caught all kinds of crap over that from Liberty fans. Liberty had a weak schedule.Kelly beat themselves, every other game was predictable except the Cleveland game to which I wouldnt give a prediction because I thought it would be to close to call,I did feel however Liberty should have won it.If you read the post 'Game of the Week' this game basically came down as I predicted.   Barbay will not have any mercy on Deel come Friday night,he is not only going to drive the nail in the coffin but throw a ton of dirt on top as well.   This Liberty Fan is all for a new coach for the Panthers,I believe there is to much talent there not to be respected by the rest of the district. As far as the Liberty trash talkers they need to shut up until they put up.
 20. Once again ,as predicted, this was a good game,Huffman did a great job but Coldspring was just too tuff for 'em.Lets see how many points CS can run up on Liberty, they need a coaching change over there and a 75-0 pounding might put a exclamation point on it.
